Thats what would concern me with anyone from Brighton. The whole club set up is the star, Bissouma Cucurella and Potter have all had terrible starts wheras Brighton have just carried on as before. Reminds me a bit of Southampton 10 years ago when they were well run with Lallana, Lovren, Clyne, Lambert, Chambers, Schneiderin, Shaw, Koeman. Only Poch from that era came out well, maybe Shaw eventually.

Fully agree. They have a wonderful system, Bloom and Barber have been outstanding in how they run that club. They are probably pound for pound the best team in the league.

Mane, VVD?

Harsh to discount players such as Lallana, Wanyama & Ox-Chamberlin due to injury.

Bale? Walcott.....? Depends how far we're digging back tbh.

Me too. Players are often better suited to certain systems. A technically strong player that doesn’t use or rely on his physical skills can thrive in a system like Pep’s in MC, but can do poorly in a system that relies on physicality and long ball or counterattacks.

Brighton plays a beautiful brand of football where technique and brains are more important.. Conte ball is not that.

Hmm. I like Trossard and think he'd be a decent signing, but I wouldn't be clamouring for it nor spending 40m on him. He's great on his day, but I think he struggles a lot when bottom half sides sit in against Brighton. Just feel like we should be going for something different.

Has anyone watched Facundo Medina? He's an Argentine 23 yr old LCB on Lens, who are second in Ligue 1 and are challenging that PSG superteam for the title. He's having a great season and is very good on the ball. i've only watched a few games of his, including the win against PSG the other day, but he looks like a quality player.

Bang on, he's Romero for the left side, a few years behind in development and temperament.

so rash, questionable positioning, a slightly overrated?

Trossard is having his "good" season but he has only scored 1 more than Son who is still not fully recovered from injury.
Only scored 25 goals in 4 EPL seasons.
Don't see why we would or should buy him.
