Probably had a similar issue to loaning Spence out, the PL clubs don't want loans with no obligation anymore unless they are really dying for short term cover.

Spence chose Rennes personally mainly down to the amount of playing time, their rb/rwb hamari is injured for circa 6 weeks min, so getting minutes was a key factor, plus we have a relationship with Rennes with Rodon there and us being linked quite a bit for their Player Truffert

Agree. I really want to see him a chance with us and succeed here. If he's not ready for English football now, he never will be with endless loans to Spanish clubs. The club and Gill are both just wasting time.
