Well it's certainly not the standard I go by. Football is meant to be entertaining - if an opposition player starts showboating, I hope we'll tackle them, score, and maybe mock them, not physically attack them. I do hope we'll attack players like Cash who attack us, but punishing harmless skill by physical violence is neanderthal behaviour. Yes it may be that 'if you do that then you're bound to get clobbered', but that doesn't make it right. They used to say similar things about attractive young women walking alone at night - but it's absolutely abhorrent to give any excuse whatsoever to the attacker, who is 100% in the wrong.
EDIT: Just saw Airfixx's spot on response, and your commendable "let's move on" - as someone who was kicked many times for doing tricks when playing out wide, it's something I feel passionately about, but as this is the transfers thread, agree that we should agree to disagree and move on.

Just sounds like agents doing agent things.
He's currently earning £15k a week, playing for a side 6 points off the drop in Serie A.
If he's the type of person to reject an offer of over 4x his salary to come and play for one of the best teams in the world with the prospect of Champions League football and silverware to be loyal to his club then fair play. But I doubt it.
They'll know Spurs are desperate for a CB and pickings are slim. If I were his agent I'd be doing the same thing.
As usual none of it is new news that isn’t in the public domain. There’s a preference for it not to be posted on here by lots of posters because it all sounds like made up bollocks anyone could have written. If it ever is posted, it’s only to take the piss out of.
