IMO Levy right now is doing the best he ever has for us. Mou, Nuno and Conte were terrible fuckups , but Levy has hit it out of the park with the Paratici and Ange appointments. If we can just keep this setup together for another 2-3 seasons, we should at least have won some minor silverware and be a consistent participant in CL again. Depends on Levy's patience. Remember he went behind Jol's back to make Ramos a "dizzying" offer after he got 5th, so who knows maybe he'll be back in for Arne Slot if he's not happy with where we finish.

The point is they were working on his deal, one way or another, for 6+ months which is why they got it done on Dec 27th.

Now if you're mad we haven't been working on a deal and not tapping up players that's another thing.

But I can just see the comments if reports started to surface that we had been tapping players up without the clubs consent and who all that blame would likely be pointed at, despite the Bald Man seemingly not being involved in these deals at the moment in time.

Rodon is/was such a weird case. Signed during October in the covid window, passed on by every manager we've had since then.

Looks alright for Wales and in the Championship, seems like that's his level.

I'd be shocked if we got £10M for him, though.

I absolutely garantee you that had we missed out of signing a player like Van Dijk in the Summer window the same old voices would be piping up, and you know EXACTLY what they'd be saying.

This is what I find funny, I don't understand why folk need to try and find any shread of evidence to confirm their bias about the board, people are just running out of things to be mad about Levy and ENIC because they've done a lot of good work over the past couple of years, they ain't perfect but they have improved and got their act together, that's probably the best we can ask for from our owners, they just need to keep it up.

4th Jan today and people are having meltdowns over not signing a 3rd choice CB, talk about 1st world problems lmao
 
We need a first team attacker / front 3 player IMO. Son is gonna be fucked post tournament - unrealistic to think he can continue these minutes. Either a wide forward or 9. Not gonna lie Solomon looks shit to me thus far, be surprised if he develops tbh

Couple of injuries away from having zero goal threat, wouldn’t be against Romero playing up top ahead of Solomon, Gill etc
