Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m usually an optimist but also honest about what I see.

If we were getting this done quickly it would have happened by now. This feels like our other deals that dragged on and either collapsed or got finished very late in the window
It has been dragging on for over a week now, always the same nearly there, this needs wrapping up today.
If Bayern have come in for him, then we probably will miss out, but this is the most problematic position right now that needs filling.

The last bit makes no sense as very few clubs pay the whole of the fee up front more like over a couple of years, so the source is more likely from a cub reporter i.e. Boy Scouts = BS, Cubs = complete & utter bull shit.
Money on the books for ffp vs cash flow, these are two different things. Most clubs can advance payments due to them for a smallish fee if they chose once the money is on the books.

We appoint Johan Lange as Director of Football, Scott Munn as Operations Manager and Paratici still acting as an advisor. Therefore Levy can step back from dealing with transfers . A week into the transfer window, we have VDV and Romero out, Dier not wanted , 2 young centrebacks not trusted, amd a makeshift centreback now injured. We are 6 days away from playing United, a week into the transfer window and we are haggling over a few million euros for Radu Dragusin. Does any fan think Levy has stepped back from dealing with transfers?

Levy is chairman and Lewis is the owner so they will always have the final say as they control the money but that doesn't mean they're directly involved in negotiations.

Is that true? My CEO doesn’t get involved in multi million purchases, the CFO does if it’s a material investment but even then they really approve the initial budget / need at the start and then if it’s within budget it’s pre approved

I get the impression pinhead prick meddles throughout the process, causing complexity
