I would but not sure he is would want to play backup, he's 25 now.
Especially when you bear in mind that he left us for first team football.

I think he should stay where he is. He's a first team regular at Southampton and many players have struggled to find that over the years. The Saints also have a decent chance of getting promoted this season as well so he hopefully won't have to wait too long for another shot at the Premier League.

Hopefully he’s finally at a club that gives him proper game time, so he can go on to salvage his career. Seemed like a good lad, that loved the club, just wasn’t quite cut out of the epl. Not helped by playing across the entire backline during his development years tbf.

Good Lord, you look at our players and where they've ended up and you start to understand why Kane was on that Golf course with Neville.

Its sad the club didn't have this structure a while back during the Poch or even post-Poch era. Our recruitment has gone from a shambles to quality and its not simply spending more money. I do wonder what would have happened 4-5 years ago if we where acting like now, Kane might have had a much harder decision to make and we would be already fighting at the top for trophies possibly. But it is what it is, at least finally its in order.

It’s shocking how bad the whole development setup was during that time.
Not saying we would’ve had a bunch of world class players on our hands, but we would’ve actually gotten some decent fees for players if they had been developed properly, not just playing for the u21, or being sent to random clubs on loan just to get their wages off our bill.

Maybe the realisation that Kane was outgrowing Spurs finally woke the board up, we clearly couldn't sustain the adequate support for him and in the end knew he wouldn't sign a contract and eventually leave.

Having said that I firmly believe that Levy would have started this rebuild earlier if Kane fucked off or we sold him, he said that he got in win now managers because players were in his ear, no guesses who that was.

Funny how these things work sometimes
