Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We are not Man Utd. A club asks for a stupid price for a player and they always pay it. Consequently all clubs do the same if Utd are in for one of their players. They have paid some mental prices recently.
Clubs know we will haggle for ever. Sometimes pays off, sometimes not.
But there are times when we should just pay it, not every time but now and again

Good player he is and should have snapped him at wolves. Just get feeling he could be out of levy's price range. Would definitely have him at us though. Tottenham type player. Dynamic.
I think Forest are struggling with FFP?
After what happened to Everton it has concentrated minds and as Gibbs-White is about the only player to command a fee people are putting 2 and 2 together?

Genuinely baffling how little common sense some people exhibit or general understanding of anything football related - especially when discussing football online seems to be their biggest hobby

Who's more to blame, football fans or journos and aggregators?

Football fans for not having any foresight or patience or common sense when it comes to transfers or journos for speaking shit for engagement purposes and aggregators regurgitating bollocks, vicious cycle. :gallashmm:

For me, I just don't get it.

We need a CB as cover desperately, we are looking at Ragu and he shows a lot of promise. We have a chance to snap him up early before anyone else comes in and starts a bidding war. Ona play that could be potentially worth be worth double the asking price in 2 or 3 years.

Over 5 million. Sometime you just bite the bullet and get it done, not fuck around over small change for us.

We desperately need a CB ASAP.

Or is it Ange's fault for saying that he wants transfers in early so he isn't fucked around for a month and fill some glaring holes in the squad so we can push on with our excellent start to the season. Months before the January window.

I mean, the manager is winner, so what the fuck does he know and why should us fans agree with him, when he obvisouly knows fuck all.

I mean, it's not like we are not desperate for a new CB to help with cover and keep our toes in the title race.

The free agents every club want to sign in 2024

From Kylian Mbappe to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, there are some big names available for Premier League clubs to sign for free this month, but there are also a lot who could be on their way out.

2024 has arrived, and with it comes a fresh dose of chaos in the form of the January transfer window.
It’s usually a period where there are few big deals done, with clubs more focused on loan deals or outgoings of unused players during this period.
However, with clubs looking to become ever more thrifty under the watchful eyes of Financial Fair Play enforcers, the free agency market is one that most will be perusing through.
Premier League, LALIGA, WSL and more. The world's best football is on Optus Sport. Sign up here.
There are a huge number of players who will be out of contract at their current club come June 30 but January 1 is an important date, as it is the date where clubs can begin negotiating with these soon-to-be out-of-contract stars.
However, under English FA laws, players can’t negotiate with or sign a pre-contract agreement with a team within the same league – so a player currently at a Premier League club cannot sign a pre-contract agreement with another Premier League club. They can only open talks a month before their contract expires.
The rule is there in a bid to avoid conflicts of interest in the event a player may face their future club before leaving their current one.
Premier League clubs are, however, able to sign pre-contract agreements with players from teams in other leagues.
Here’s who’s currently available as a free agent in come June 30…

We should bring Willian in for a medical.

Then tell him to fuck off.

Isn’t that the pushy shovey world in general nowadays, with a huge amount of self entitlement?

No reason that shouldn’t translate to football fan expectations too!

‘I want that multi-million pound footballer, and I want him now!’ Stamps feet! 😂

Apparently we're also looking at Scalvini who plays as a CB for Atalanta.

He would cost more and is more a ball playing centre half. Completely different type from Dragusin. He can also play centre midfield.

You're right, we need someone in for our next Prem match ASAP to keep our toes in the title race even though our next league match isn't until the 14th. :adestare:

You're a dick head.

Been abused by Levy for so long you're suffering Stockholm Suyndrome.

The Next game is an FA cup game against Burnley, another chance at Silverware, so why wouldn't Radu be a benefit for that game as well?

He threw VdV into the deep end and look how that tunred out.

You're full of shit.

Radu could and should have been signed on the 1st month with the dealing done weeks ago. Instead, we are quibbling over pocket change.

Funny that, I’m watching Atalanta v Sassuolo right now.

Wanted to see Ederson and remembered I could have a look at Scalvini as well because we’ve been linked before.

Scalvini playing almost RB that’s how high and wide he pushes with the ball. Smooth mover, tidy feet so far.

Ederson is a R8 almost leading their press. So clearly a Gallagher alternative. Been ok so far but not seeing anything amazing yet. Covers a lot of ground and better turning circle than PEH. Feels a bit Villa so far. Can’t explain it more than that

You haven't even seen him play

Sorry but doesn't that just sum up football fans in general, bet you haven't even seen a minute of him play yet you want us to pay money for a player you have no idea what his true worth is 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, getting him in is definitely the difference between beating Burnley or not, of course. 🤦‍♂️

Calm the fek down man, it's a minor annoyance at the moment - a literal grown man should never be losing their shit over a player they've never seen play especially going off some Bs reports, it will get done when it's done.
