You haven't even seen him play

Sorry but doesn't that just sum up football fans in general, bet you haven't even seen a minute of him play yet you want us to pay money for a player you have no idea what his true worth is 🤦‍♂️
Never saw VdV, Udogie or Vic play, so what's the difference?

Now who should I trust and listen to, Big Ange who is our manager and clearly knows what he wants and what he is doing...

Or you, a Levy supporter suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Who when he meets of with his bald overloard, can only say "sdkfh sadtjhwiu dsjkh hfu asiof fdjdsk," as Levy has his cock balls deep down your throat.

If Ange wants his players early, you get your manager his players early, you don't fuck around over pocket change.

Exactly and how much did we pay for them?

Ange said he wanted a CB early, we are still on the 3rd day of the TW, I don't get your point? You or I have no idea what the hold up is on this deal if even there is one, you don't know what side it's on, you don't know whether Genoa are moving the goalposts, you don't know if we have agreed a fee but just sorting out payment structure etc...

It's not as easy as agreeing a fee and them bam here's your player, we're not Man Utd

3rd paragraph is a load of irrelevant, emotional waffle, pointless even engaging with that mess.

Just seen De Ketelere for 25min and he’s scored, pressed, linked and looked really tidy. Really tidy.

I’d take him before a twat like Toney if we really need a 9. Still prefer Zirkzee but De Ketelaere will def end up a big time player

Radu for 30 million? When he could be worth double that in a few years.

Pay the 30 million that they asked for, especially if we offer 25 mill...

It's a fucking no brainer.

Especially for a position that we are desperately short in.

Emotional waffle? I am not the sucking off Levy on a daily basis.

It's 3rd day? So what, it could and should have been finalised before the window started then announced on the 1st and get the boy training with the team.

See my edit on prev post - You don't know what the hold up is, could be on our side, could be on their side.

It's a fucking no brainer.

Of course but it's not as easy as you're making out, I think the fact that we're this far down the line with this transfer is actually good, I don't see many other clubs this advanced in bringing anyone in and we are talking about club who have more pressing needs than us.

Emotional waffle? I am not the sucking off Levy on a daily basis.

Yes this ^ Stop this, this is genuinely weird behavior.

How many other clubs have concluded transfers so far in the window?

I think you struggle to come to terms with how football transfers work.

I think we get him in this week - and then a week of training before United next week - If we dont have a new Centre back in for United then there is no defending Levy!
I just think if he is a player that we want and desperately need then get him ASAP, it's not like Gonoa are asking stupid money for highly rated player.

As Ange says, why waste the time when we could have had him now and laready training with squad ready for Friday.

Especially as Ange said this over a month ago.

Calciomercato have indicated that AS Roma are hopeful Tottenham Hotspur will let Eric Dier leave once they complete a deal for Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin.

The report says that Roma are now playing a waiting game as Tottenham continue to be locked in talks with Genoa for Dragusin.

It is revealed that Jose Mourinho has been promised by the Giallorossi hierarchy that a centre-back will arrive through the door this month, given that Evan Ndicka is going to the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, the outlet explains that Roma do not have much money to spend, which is why Dier would be a good solution, given his contract situation at Spurs.

Roma waiting for Dragusin to move for Eric Dier
The report says that the Serie A club are currently waiting for Tottenham to get Dragusin through the door as the expectation is that Dier will then be allowed to exit Hotspur Way.

It is said that Roma are of the belief that the Romanian switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would ‘pave the way’ for the Spurs defender to reunite with Mourinho, with the Portuguese coach wanting the English defender at the Stadio Olimpico.

The publication asserts that the Italian club could even land Dier without paying any compensation to Spurs, given that the former Sporting star only has six months left on his contract at North London.

Spurs Web Opinion

Dier and Hojbjerg will both likely be allowed to leave Spurs this month once a centre-back (likely Dragusin) and a midfielder (potentially Conor Gallagher) arrive through the door.

If Tottenham’s priority is to get Dier’s salary off their wage bill, they might even be open to terminating the centre-back’s contract and allowing him to leave on a free transfer.

We have. DoF, Paratici and Scott Munn and you are still finding ways to blame Levy?

At great risk of digging up the same old argument from the summer... he doesn't have to be a guaranteed started from our perspective, as long as he is satisfied with that. If he expects to be a starter in most games, then that could be problematic because a). if we say he won't be a starter then he might not come, or b). if we say he will be a regular starter and he isn't then he will be pissed off very quickly, plus then we will earn a reputation as a club which lies to players to get them in. I'm not saying for a second that the above is necessarily the case, but it could be. Of course any of the following could apply:
- he may be happy to come initially as mostly back-up but intend to force his way into the side
- he may expect there to be sufficient rotation for him to get enough games
- numerous other possible scenarios

The point is that players themselves do of course have agency, and IF he looks at the Romero / MVDV partnership and considers it one of the very best in the EPL that will be hard to break into if there are not enough injuries / suspensions between them, then that alone MAY be enough to stop him from signing. That's not to say we shouldn't try to convince him of course. Obviously we will probably never know how any such conversations go (if there even are any).

NB. This is NOT an argument against bringing in high quality players, and it's NOT saying that high quality players won't be willing to come and fight for a place. I'm just saying that each player will have their own agency in those respects, and it COULD cause some to not want to come.

The next 6 months:

"You said you didn't want a CB, wah!!!!"

:porrohands:

Maybe Dragon is a smoke screen for someone else? pretty Sure there wasn't much noise about Vicario before we signed him, everyone just wanted us to pay the money for Raya.......

How do you know that if you've never seen him play?
If we have put a bid for 25 million Euro's, then I would guess that is the ball park figure.

I haven't seen him play, but I bet people at the club have and have been asked to identify specific players that meet Ange's requirements.

Then pay it, it's not that far off.

I have a lot of trust in Ange, if it is a player he wants, then there is no point quibbling over a couple of million.
