Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Come on of course Utd, City, scum and pool can afford a 30m player, they pay higher wages. I looked up the the Utd wage bill the other day and they hand out Ndombele wages for fun.
United are really struggling. It's why they went cheap and late Amrabat when they needed a CM. It's because they hand out ndomble wages for fun that they are now unable to spend 30m on a midfielder.

You will find a lot of fans at 15 PL clubs (75% of all PL clubs) thinking they needed players. And are disappointed now

Spurs have ensured they have their finances are in place so can do things.

So yes it is something Spurs have ensured can be done that it appears as if Woolwich, Liverpool, ManCity, ManU and others cannot do because they failed to get organised !

Not sure the Spendaholics on.here would agree.

Funny how silent they have been of late, as though pained by our reasonable attainment..

i dunno who is the chief deal maker in ManU - keeps buying ragtags who doesn't fit in - or expensive flops.
The more money a club has - the more they will splash it.

Clubs like Wolves and Brighton are smart in their investment. But-They KEEP selling all their good players:angeshock:

How is FFP looking for Chelsea ? The loophole of being able to spread payments over the long contracts seemed like a good idea at the time , but surely that must be a millstone around their necks now without champo league money ? Seems like they have a bunch of very expensive players on massive, long contracts that nobody else is going to take off their hands any time soon ?

It is an interesting situation especially when you look at us purchasing their players.

Ignoring the footballing side of things with Gallagher as our data nerds and Ange know what they want.

Pro's:

Fucking over Poch by taking his captain
The optics of us swooping in and taking their captain in the Jan window for depth

Con's:

Helping those cunts balance the books. Which to me is a gooner type move.

Hojlund 75m Mount 64m Onana 50m.
Maybe they just couldn't find the right players they needed so just took loans.

Your still using the same flawed basis for your argument..... LOL

The more money they've spent, the more likely it is that they've crept into the FFP zone (not the opposite!)... It's not rocket science.

Man U are a money making machine and could afford to buy a few flops a year. What fucks them up is the stupid wages they pay even to average players Martial was being paid about double kane.

Wolves are close to failings ffp so can't be too smart

Richarlison does not look to me like he is just on a "streak" at the moment.
We could be coming up roses here. Fingers crossed.

To me we have started playing to his strengths, he's never gonna take someone on like Kane did and twat the ball into the top corner.

What he does well is run hard and press (something Kane never did)

Very good in the air with the right service and good at getting onto balls whipped into the box low.

He's a limited player but it's like we have accepted what he does and started playing to his strengths. Also I don't think it's any coincidence that the "streak" coincides with coming back from a groin surgery he needed for over a year but wasn't allowed to have.

Never gonna be a golden boot winner but for a decent spurs side I reckon he can get close to 20 goals a season

Richy doesn't actually worry me that much anymore tbh, I'm more concerned with the lack of goals we have in the wide positions when Son isn't in the side, and considering he's the wrong side of 30 that is a concern for the future. I think BJ for £47.5m (after getting 8 PL goals out wide for Forest last season) and Werner on loan in Jan is an acknowledgement from Ange that we lack enough goal threats in the wide positions and we can't just have creators on both sides if we don't have a Kane to bang 30 of them in every season. If BJ can find a scoring touch and if Werner starts turning a few in we will look a much better team in Son's absence IMO. Big ifs mind.

Lyon are in crisis atm so will be interesting to keep an eye on his progress there until May, suspect there are places up for grabs so he could find his way into their first team sooner than later.
They've been performing a bit better since changing coaches. And it seems the new owner is actually spending in recognition of how dire their situation was. But agree with your point about places/opportunity.

That said, big climb down for Ghent from 30-40M in the summer to 13M now.

They've had a new manager bounce, sure, lost their most recent fixture and still in the relegation playoff spot however. Think Orban's main competition will be Lacazette so if he can't find his way into the first team he's definitely shit.
