Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not sure why we keep trying to buy these young guys, Nusa, Wharton, Buck, we won't play any of them. Spurs have some of the best youth teams under 16, 18, 21s around but none of them get a proper look in. Devine and Phillips loaned out, the young Croatian lad is loaned out. I guess they are all just long term money making options but that's not really helping the main squad now. Just signed Werner and Dragusin who are both bench warmers when all squad fit. If Spurs want to fight for trophies they need to sign players that are better than our starting 11. A midfielder better than bissouma and sarr. A striker better than richarliason. I guess that's for the next transfer window.

Crazy isnt it. I mean you could go back to how our initial revival was started with signing the likes of Defoe, Carrick, Lennon Dawson, then Bale, Rose, Walker, Alli etc but you dont even have to go back 2 years to see what buying youngsters can do. Its when we stopped doing that and acted like a pound shop Chelsea we got into the shit.

There will always be flops like
Rodon, Gil but because of their age at least you'll get a good return on your money. You still need the Maddison type signings but i'm happy if we make ourselves the go to place for the best youngsters.

When I read that name, I only see this

It makes me worried, that Bayern is pretty good at assessing talent, but they let him go for peanuts 1,5 years ago. Now 40 mil pricetag seems pretty sick. Specially considering he is in his first good Serie A season as an attacking player.

Definitely a touch of Gullit in there.
It's lazy comp because they are both big, strong, skilled, Dutch forwards but it's also good comp because they are both big, strong, skilled, Dutch forwards.

Only a touch though because I'm not sure today's kids understand how good Gullit was. As a 90's kid I only really caught the end but he was a mix of Kane and Van Basten, with a bit of Drogba.

Also, am I the only one that thought Dele should have converted into forward full-time after he put the muscle on? He could be a fucking great Ange ball #9 imo.
