He might want to stay as preference but not be against a move should Chelsea want to get rid. It sounds like they are forcing him out, he was excellent for Palace on loan, he is a very professional hard working player, I very doubt there is any attitude problem. It’s Chelsea having fucked FFP needing to move home grown for pure profit. If FFP wasn’t around no way would Gallagher be up for sale.
Whether buying or selling, Chelsea’s valuation of players is absolutely insane - Look at the fees they have paid for their purchases and gotten for their sales.

Even if they need to sell to balance their FFP books, they have until 30 June which is when EPL FFP annual accounts close. So no way Chelsea sell cheap now - particularly with 18 months still left on Gallagher’s deal. Crazy Boehley probably genuinely believes Gallagher is worth 50M+ - after all he paid 80M+ for Mudryk, 65M+ for Cucurella, 115M for Caceido and received 65M for Havertz and 50M for Mount.

If Ange still wants him and Gallagher hasn’t signed an extension, we should go in for him in June with a lowball offer - when Blue Scum are desperate. It would be beyond stupid to pay Chav’s asking price of 50M+ now.

As for Ange wanting Gallagher - well Ange supposedly really wanted Brennan too - while it’s early that’s looking like big overpay at this point. So no reason to pay over the odds just cause Ange favors a player.

More bullshit from SC.....Not Wharton

Annoying

He's a boyhood Chelsea fan often captaining the club he grew up supporting.

With the prospect of joining his less affluent bitter rivals.

I can't believe he will be kicking and screaming to come to us.
I can give you a long list of players playing for bitter rivals when it suited their career

Dalglish's first question when he got to the dressing room after a Celtic match "What did Rangers do?"

And there's not much of a gap in the clubs' worth now.

Watched that video and apparently he's

Looked like he was going to Barca but then again they are skint so maybe the deal has dried up and we have smelt the opportunity.

We do have Lange and also if Kulusevski is from the same Swedish academy, maybe he can have a word.

Makes sense for him to go Palace, he's guaranteed game time there
That's only one aspect of it though, he can go there, get games, become established and then attract the interest of the bigger clubs as a potential starter as opposed to a prospect, great, but Palace don't make it easy for players to leave.

That's perfectly reasonable for Palace, but a player seeing them as a stepping stone is pretty misguided I reckon. Especially now you see the bigger sides struggling to finance new signings.

There's no issue with leaving Palace if you don't keep signing new contracts that keep you at the club (ala Zaha) you'll be fine, Oliseh has a release clause which will probably be met in the Summer and Eze apparently has one in his contract as well.

Regardless of that no-one's thinking about getting out of a club once you've signed for them, more likely he's thinking about getting game time and playing at a higher level as opposed to sitting on the bench. If I'm Wharton I'm not looking at Tottenham with any chance to break into this team any time soon.

The whole thing just makes no sense.

Aside from the facts you have stated, why would we be pursuing a Chelsea captain so vigorously, especially considering he is a bang average player?

If we were going to go for an expensive homegrown option we should have went for Phillips, who is far closer to what we need in midfield.

This obsession with Gallagher is just perplexing .
