Welcome to the modern game.

How would you like us to gain an advantage?
Have a bigger wage budget in relation to our revenue. Hire a coach who can bring some stability and improve these players whilst getting results.

I like Ange, and was open to more radical approach. But it’s not working. Teams find us too easy to unpick and our squad is run into the ground with no points to show for it.

I agree with you. Those things would help.

Wait… Ange has spent almost two years not playing Spence. It turns out he is a good young player. He hasn’t played Reggie and he looked good enough to be a back up.

So you’re saying just because Ange isn’t picking him he isn’t good enough? Seems to me that logic doesn’t hold given recent revelations.
If he was good enough I think he’d have been put on at half time yesterday. I hope he does prove good enough because I’ve only seen youth highlights and it’s hard to tell. I could bet anything that he won’t be given that chance with us.
Spence would not be playing at centre back if he was showing up well enough in training. As for Reggie,he probabiy is good enough to be a back up. I thought he did well yesterday and showed more fight than I’ve seen from Udogie for a year now.

Absolutely.

Since the "painful rebuild" started we've had 4 managers with vastly different playing styles. Players have been signed and frozen out, I mean fuck me we signed Djed Spence in the 2022 window and he's only just made his first start in December 2024, and that was due to our manager being forced into it.

Why do no other clubs need painful rebuilds that see them lose 50% of their matches? We're not some plucky underdogs we're one of the richest football clubs on the planet.

No competent rebuild with such huge resources at its disposal should be this painful.
100%
The rebuild is required due to the total mismanagement from Levy and friends on the board. Rebuilds are not required when a team is well run.
Its a mess , no long term strategy.
We are now using Lange with his data, before that it was Paraticci with his contacts can't remember what was going on before that, I know it started with Arnessen there have been a lot of new dawns since then.

I don’t think our playing talent is 12th in the league. The main issue is not the quality of our players.

As much as we all hate our current league position at least it's learned that bald cunt what a threadbare squad looks like.

Hopefully short term pain long term gain.

Levy looked embarrassed yesterday, which can only bode well for every Spurs fan.

I just wished that the stadium announcer would have had the balls to put out on the stadium intercom Levy stating "We've got our Tottenham back" as Scouse rolled in number six last week.

Why not?

It won't be because of what Ange has seen in training that he's not playing, it will be because he has zero experience of professional football.

Dorrington goes out on loan and impresses then he has a chance. Phillips has been doing well for Stoke, no?
Wonder how much experience Gray has at centrebacks? Wonder how much experience Spence has at playing for a spurs esp as a centreback?

Our rebuild

Didn’t the hotel had even been built yet

They have both got seasons of experience playing professional football.

Dorrington played 10 mins of professional football under Ange against Southampton. And people want to throw him into the middle of a crisis against in-form PL teams... Genuine madness.

Because we play hyper attacking football which has its own advantages and disadvantages. But in terms of general play only Solanke is pulling his weight. He can press, hold the ball up and link well. Our other attackers haven't contributed that well in general play and for a team that defends from the front in how we set up it means we can’t control games as well as we should and are to easy to play through.

Even though we don’t have an injury crisis in the front line the club is still making the front a priority for this window and that says everything.

Solanke: 7/3 in 17
Johnson: 7/2 in 20
Son: 5/6 in 17

Just to add, Kulu 5/4 in 20

I'd call that pretty well shared, not dependent ONLY on Solanke.

Chavski have 6 CBs: Colwill, Disasi, Fofana, Badiashile, Tosin, and Veiga.

Woolwich have: Gabriel, Saliba, and Kiwior.

Additionally, Ben White, Calafiori, and Tomiyasu are CBs played as fullbacks in Arteta's defensive set-up.

Timber is also a FB/CB hybrid.

Shitty have: Dias, Gvardiol, Ake, Akanji, Stones.

As of August 24th Chelsea had 43 senior (first team) players.

Fuck knows where they all play but any serious comparison of squad strengths should not include Chelsea. The village i grew up in had less people.
