Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Do we run a risk of PSR (FFP) issues? I didn't think so, but then this click bait article sailed into my feed. As I se it, it's bullshit, but anyway.

We do not have any FFP problems.

Think we have more room for manouvre than any other prem team. We've received £137m in club trained transfer fees in the last 18 months with Kane, Winks, Skipp and Parrott. So its bollocks.

I’ve been impressed with Dibling too this season. Given Southampton have had an absolute nightmare, he’s not stopped running at people and trying to make things happen. I like that heart and fortitude to go along with his talent.

I know he won't come cheap but I rather have Tyler Dibling over Muani - even if Dibling may cost more. True, he's still young at 19, and he may have been over-hyped, but he is worthy the risk I reckon. Maybe a swap deal involving Johnson + cash (well, I doubt that either Soton nor BJ would be keen though)-
Moore and Dibling could be Spurs' WF for 10+ years to come.
I thinik Muani is a good player but I don't think he is what Spurs need. Yes, he can play wide on both sides and as a CF, but he is mainly a WLF, which Spurs have plenty of right now, in Son, Yang, Werner, Odobert, Moore, Johnson, Solomon. Yes, Werner is on loan, Son is getting "old", Solomon is out on loan, and Yang, Moore and Moore are unproven...but they are still Spurs players and taking up places in the Spurs squad.
Don't we have enough youngsters as it is? We have been stacking them lately.

What we need now is established players from the top shelf. If we don't want to slip further. We already have A LOT of promising kids.

Bring us experience, like me!!

The few bright spots for Spurs the last few games have been the youngsters - namely Kinsky, Gray, Bergvall and, Moore.
Spurs have not been stacking more youngsters than is normal for an EPL club. Brighton, Brentford, even Bournemouth are above Spurs in the league due to they "stacking of youngsters"...
The only way Spurs can get hold of top-talent is taking risks on youngsters because as soon as a top-talent turns into a top-players they're out of Spurs' reach. Khusanov and Cole Palmer are examples of that.
I am not saying that Dibling is the solution for Spurs' lack of left-footed WF who're good at 1-on-1 as he's still young and relatively unproven (we still remember the hype around Evan Ferguson and his apparent transfer fee being £100m+) but if he does live up to his hype before Spurs sign him, well, then Spurs have no chance of getting him (Levy will, of course, then make a bid knowing it will be rejected). But Spurs have no left-footed WF (I don't count Kulusevski as WF anymore really) in their squad, and Johnson has been a disappointment so far (and he's in his 2nd season under Angelos now) and not better than Dibliing IMO.

We need a left footer that does what he does.

Ideally a more experienced one, though. But him and Moore on either wing would be something in a few years
It’s still only brief glimpses, but I’m getting more (no pun intended) convinced that Moore isn’t a winger, at least in this system. If he’s on the left he shouldn’t be tied to getting chalk on his boots, he should be coming inside, in the pockets.

second half yesterday he looked like one. Was taking players on and creating. Laid one on a plate for werner. But I get you, he's like a wide #10 almost atm maybe.

It’s similar to how Grealish was never ever a Pep winger. At Villa, he started on the left but had the freedom to go where he liked, influence the game how he interpreted it. But at City, tied to that wing, all the expression has drained out of his game.
