It would be a stupid waste of time and resources to concentrate on full talks with the club if we haven't been given some kind of indication from the player/agent that he would come.

If we were talking to his agents first and now the club, that's usually a good sign.

Certainly the bolded bit is correct. But I do very much doubt all way paid up front, what % is just a guess
Worth remembering we played Bayern twice in pre season (one as part of deal for Kane), as well as them signing Dier, Hojbjerg as well as Kane from us, so I'd guess despite the comments from others in previous pages, Spurs and Bayern have a decent working relationship, which suggests the two clubs would probably be able to put a deal together.
Just a question of whether Tel himself sees it that way (hopefully with encouragement from our former players saying good things in his ear)

The only way I have hope is some unknown from out of nowhere. Not a class player from PSG or Bayern who the new Top 6 are interested in. Sure the club has loads of money, but we’re not competing with it.
