Look, he had a great game yesterday even if you take the goal out. He did a lot of good things and showed some fight. He was our best player by a mile. But, he's been gash for weeks now, hence why he has been dropped. I am pretty sure he will be back to his normal 5/10 performances from Saturday with the odd 7/10 or 8/10 every half a dozen games. We've got him for the rest of the season. If there was an alternative I would send him back to Bayern but there isn't. However, if we are going into next season with him in our squad I will be massively dissapointed and I dare say with this board that is where I am likely to end up.
I’m unsure whether to sign him, but I think a large issue with have is the balance of the midfield. If he were to play alongside Bergvall and Xavi then we could afford his shortcomings on the ball, and defensively is the best midfielder in our squad. When we play him next to Gray or Bentancur we look poor. I would swap him for Bentancur if I had a choice.
You have previously stated Bentancur is a far better player then Palhinha and you'd take him all day over him. If you can stick to the topic rather then holding onto a previous interaction...
What does Bentancur offer that Palhinha doesn't and why do you feel he is far better when all he does is give the ball away and chase shadows?

And for each rebuild you need couple older players that will help young guys with their experience and attitude. Once we are ready to challenge things again he will be surplus I agree, but sadly it won't happen in year or two.
