Guess this is one of them ones where we just loan him back to Santos next summer when we realise he isn't physically ready for the prem?

Hope the kid proves me wrong but I've totally giving up on us signing these young prospects. We've the worst recruitment and scouts around. There's a reason we signed him and nobody else did.

LB was a priority but we needed a ready-made player, not a kid. And if it had to be a youngun, well it shoulda been an English one.

Don’t think we’re awful at it tbf, Vuskovic and Bergvall look to be mustard. I have no issue with young punts as a general rule.

This specific case is just frustrating because we desperately need CL-quality LB play right now, and whatever you think of this kid, he is not that immediately.
 
I’ve questioned our strategy when it comes to “data led” transfers. Hardly data led to come up with Simon’s, RKM and Palhinha. However, this unknown guy may be just the kind of player that this approach was designed to get.

I’ll decide after his first four minutes of playing.

I'm not writing him off until he has played at least ten minutes.
