But is it unthinkable though, the club never built on
- runners up in the league
- CL finalists
- Europa league
Each time after either just finishing short or a moment of glory, the club has failed to seize the opportunity.
Clearly they don't want it enough despite, comments from levy they want to win.
Whilst I agree and understand the frustration of the above, we need to stop living in the past to progress.

Was it Fergie or Pep that said after winning the League something along the lines ''Title's done, now I'm thinking about the next one.''

Forever wistfully contemplating past glories or lack thereof won't change the mistakes and it's been said enough by everyone, it really doesn't need to be harped on about as if people don't understand or have forgotten.

You do not move ahead by constantly looking in a rear view mirror. The past is a rudder to guide you, not an anchor to drag you. We must learn from the past but not live in the past.

I agree in part however, EL was only a few months back look at the progression since.
This club is never in a position to think like that, win a league and move onto a CL title.
We leave that to big clubs to do.
This club is an absolute mess right now.
I think that, we need to completely rip it up and start again.
Players like VDV, romero, Porro, Richy plus a few others need to go, manager and probably lange as well.
This is know will take years to turn around, but I don't see any other way of resolving it currently.
I never believed that the new set up was going to be different, old Labour equals new Labour and all that.
Can’t see any light at the moment, fans and players hate each other, manager has been overwhelmed and over promoted.
The board are useless.

Can't wait for the first interview with Milesy.
So João, the club made you travel to England on a RyanAir flight , it crashed into the Atlantic Ocean and you were forced to swim through rough seas and tumultuous storms to reach the UK alive , and have subsequently contracted pneumonia, but you've gotta take the positives from this experience haven't you ? Can't really ask for any more of a welcome to the club can you ? What's it like to sign for Tottenham João?

There attitude is always ' That'll do'
I think every football supporter could clearly see that without Kane we're simply a mid table team. ENIC rested on their laurels, when they should have been getting top drawer midfield and attacking players when Kane was at the club, so when he did leave, it wouldn't have been such a drastic drop off. Now with Frank a relatively unknown manager, and no star players, the club struggle to attract the quality that we want.

A bit like Southampton with Matt Le Tissier, but the difference is our club could pretty much afford any players it wanted.

He said Veliz was not very good. And he was right about that.
He actually called out his deficiencies: not good technically ( but tall) .

Just as a Scandi "expert : said: Kinsky is not very good in goal
My word. If he isn't convinced, then fucking run. I always laugh when they wheel him out for South American prospects because every one is potentially world class ha

I wonder if we’re heading to 3 at the back.

Our fullbacks are all better wingbacks - Souza, Spence, Porro and Udogie.

Throw in Vuskovic and 352 or 343 seems like a good fit. Romero and VdV would relish covering the space behind the wingback too.

sounds like a real spurs player already
23/24 thigh problems from 11.02.2024 till 30.06.24 ,out 141 days
24/25 ankle injury from 30.01.25 till 11.05.25 , out 102 days

My in-laws are Peruvian and follow South American football closely.

Sent my brother-in-law a text and asked if this kid is any good and he sent me a screenshot of his Google search and responded “he might be.”

If you watch the highlights for him, it's clear he's got quite a good left foot- lots of very good crosses, and several goals too, including long-range strikes.

He's actually big for left back- 1.83m- much more of a Alex Sandro than a Roberto Carlos build.

We'll see how he handles the giant step up in level, but it seems hes got all the raw tools you'd want to be a successful left back! I'm a big fan of this move for now.
Saw plenty highlights where his first touch is Richarlisonesque. And them games looked like Sunday kickabouts.

Funny you mention that. Know a couple of ex So'ton lads who played with Le Tiss and when I asked one of them recently what he thought of Spurs and our current predicament, that's pretty much what he said word for word.
