If Romero does not leave in the Summer we really don’t need another centreback. We would have Romero, Van de Ven, Danso, Dragusin ( who would be better with one of those 3 alongside him) and with Vusovic,Philips and Dorrington hoping to make a claim at some time. If Romero goes yes get another top player in.

it looks worse than it is because danso doesnt brace for a shoulder to shoulder, if danso braced for it no one would say anything and they would of bounced off each other. it is a bit of a strange one because it will split opinions. the games been softened up enough as it is, if you start giving fouls for players going shoulder to shoulder then the games been well and truly pussified. shoulder to shoulder is legal, you cant expect defenders to allow people to run onto balls without trying to muscle them out of it.

That’s not shoulder to shoulder when both are running for the ball in the same direction! That then comes down to strength. This was nothing like that! The defender does not once look at the ball. 1000000 out of 1000000 times that happens outside the box it’s a foul. It’s a penalty all day long.
We still desperately need a left footed CB that can also play LB. We have needed one for what seems like an eternity now.
Someone that can rotate with Van De Ven but also slot in for Udogie as well.

Loan out Vuskovic to a Championsip Club and see how he does. Really don’t think Phillips and Dorrington will cut it at a serious level.
Dragusin may not be back until the start of 2026 (and he’s pretty crap) so hard to really count on him next season.
Danso was fully committed to getting the ball not bracing for a shoulder charge surely.

I don't think we'll sign another dedicated CB unless Romero is sold.
We should be signing a LB/LCB hybrid though, a better version of Davies basically to finally provide proper LB cover and let Djed play in his natural role (though there is an argument that he's a better LB in this system).
