Apparently, this signing is gonna change Spurs, it's the best thing EVAH, it's going to change the team forever, THIS IS THE BEST SPURS NEWS, I'm soo releived this transfer window hasn't been shit - I'm not posting my personal messages as reciepts but you get the jist.

My response has been wait till anything is confirmed cos we've signed some potential goodens that have turned to stinkers & it's not even confirmed yet.
Interesting. I haven’t seen anything like that. No one has heard of home and it’s an ok appointment. Nothing more.

I don't know what to think of this. If he's the Romero replacement like some people allude to, which also makes sense to me by the way, then why did they feel the need to hijack another team's deal at the last minute? What's up with this desperation? They could've easily waited until the summer to sort it out. Obviously it wouldn't be Danso in that scenario, but then it doesn't seem like he was their top target or anything.

On the other hand, if he's just a generic stopgap player that they're only lukewarm about whose recruitment is necessitated by Dragusin's recent injury, then he looks way too good and is way too costly for that. They must fancy the guy at least enough for them to go through all that hassle to secure him permanently. Are they planning on moving Dragusin in the summer? Unlikely.

I guess they now see Gray as a legitimate option at CB, so they're fine with a quintet of Danso-VdV-Gray-Dragusin-Davies for the next season. Makes sense, even though I don't totally agree with it.

Danso is an all or nothing centre back. Ridiculously strong and quick. He’s very imposing and competent enough on the ball but not great. If I was looking for a comparison in the premier league I would say he’s similar to Konate. He’s now always in Austria’s squad and functions well in a high line as you would imagine in a Rangnick team.
If this happens he will be a decent signing and one we have to make.

He does not count as home grown / association trained as he left the UK to join Ausburg in 2014 when he was 15 after spending early years with Reading (under 9) and MK Dons (age 9 - 14). He needed to be registered with a FA association club for 3 continuous years between the ages of 15 and 21.

UEFA rule:

An "association-trained player" is a player who, between the ages of 15 (or the start of the season during which the player turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during which the player turns 21), and irrespective of the player's nationality and age, has been registered with a club or with other clubs affiliated to the same association as that of the player's current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons (i.e. a period starting with the first official match of the relevant national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant national championship) or of 36 months. In the context of this paragraph, the season immediately preceding a player’s 15th birthday may be counted if the player's birthday is after the last match of the relevant national championship but before or on 30 June (winter championships) or 31 December (summer championships), and the season immediately following the player's 21st birthday may be counted if the player's birthday is on or after 1 July (winter championships) or 1 January (summer championships) but before the first match of the relevant national championship.

Is that just for Europe? Or is he also not HG in the PL?
