Personally I think it's too early for such a thread (sorry, threads, as there seem to inexplicably be lots of them) BUT...

...I don't see much chat above about the make up of our squad and style of football. My biggest issue with Levy's appointments in recent years has been the lack of consistency. There is no point in one manager buying players to suit a certain way of playing (well, theoretically at least...) then replacing him with a manager for whom those players will be completely inappropriate. Whenever Ange does leave, whether it be this season, next season, or in 10 years with 10 trophies to show for it, his replacement will have to be a manager who plays the kind of football that suits the squad he inherits, or as damn near to it as possible.

I don't know enough about those on the list to judge that, but surely anyone who does should be considering and talking about that.

I think the lack of alternative options may well save Ange.

It ought to, unfortunately.

That said, Poch was an outsider when he took the job. All he had was some promising mid-table Premier League experience under his belt but not much else. I can't pick anybody from that list because I'm not well informed enough to pick which one, if any, is close to replicating anything close.

All of that said, Ruud Van Nistlerooy and Kieran McKenna would hold the most potential, for me, or excite me the most.

Xavi is completely unemplyed. Surely having someone with 500+ games for Barcelona and more Trophies than in our entire history is worth a shot.

Vs Ange from the Circus Tavern league.
Xavi wasn't that great at Barcelona, he came in on a wave of relief that Koeman was finally gone, his results in Europe were very underwhelming and he finished last season closer on points to Girona than Real Madrid. It was Barca that sacked him in the end after he rescinded his resignation earlier the same season.
Alonso I think would be a good shout, he's really achieved the impossible with Leverkusen and would instantly command respect from the dressing room with his rich playing history and very recent culpable success in a top European league.

It won’t make a jot of difference who replaces Ange or who ever the current manager/coach is at any giving time Tottenham Hotspur’s mentality of being successful just isn’t there ……we make up the numbers that’s it and who ever the poor sap is that’s taken on to try and change it is on a hiding to nothing and if the club itself doesn’t break him our fickle entitled fans will……

Fickle and entitled about what Einstein?

Every fan is sick of the churn of managers including The Chuckle Brothers oh yeah and that gobby runt who talks over every guest on his podcast but we are split on the current incumbent. Some think he will come good some that he won't. I am in the latter camp but I hope I am wrong and Larry David is grassing me up with the receipts at the end of the season.
Don't forget though that improvement means either a Cup or a finish higher than 5th
Win Win for me

Didn't Xavi won them their first title in 5 or 6 years? Not a bad achievement when your main rival is Real rather than Rangers.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't replace him.

I have no idea who would want to deal with Levy , and even if he could get someone else I simply don't see anything different happening , good start , slight slip and then full attack dog mode from us fans .
No one that we consider top shelf will even remotely consider coming here whilst Levy holds the reins .

Someone who is the exact opposite of what we currently have and when that fucks up in 18 months go back to something like we currently have , maybe a dash of Mason in between for good measure

You call out the losing mentality of the club, which is fair. I think that's now become apparent to all.
But then you call out our fans for being fickle and entitled.
How the fuck can our fans be Entitled when we haven't won fuck all for the best part of a quarter of a century.
We probably have the most patient, least entitled fans of any big club in the country
