Gray or Bentancur play well in a win and it’s their spot to lose.

Gray is definitely a front foot presence too but you are bang on about Ange wanting fresh legs at #8 and FB around 70mins. I also think there’s no chance Udogie plays the 90mins if he starts at all. Spence much more likely to get mins than Davies imo.

I feel they were good learning exercises; but perhaps the only ones we had.........

Not a fan of all this pre-season touring... Esp. if we're only gonna end up playing lightweight oppo. Might as well travel less... In less intense weather... Spend more time on the training pitch.... And just invite a bunch of champo teams over for a game.


Modern football tho innit... Everyone's doing it...... For the $$$'s

The heat training will have helped us with intensity to start the season. I am liking the low key vibes from Ange too. He's aware of all the hype and early peaking that went on last year.

Pretty sure that will be the team. The biggest doubt is whether Udogie starts imo.

Gray's had a full pre-season and Ange will trust him especially considering the opposition. Bentancur is only just back.

Hopefully Ange is more proactive with subs this season.

Spence, Bentancur, Johnson and Bergvall will all get minutes.

I’m with you on Udogie starting but actually think that might decide if Gray starts or not.

If Spence has to start at LB that means Gray is the only option to rest Porro if needed. Unless he moved Spence to RB and brought Udogie on at LB….

Have a feeling Ange might think Bentancur starting #6 gives him Gray to bring on for Porro and Udogie for Spence if needed.

If Udogie can start then as you were and Spence comes on for him about 70mins

I'd be happy with that but maybe VdV instead of Udogie, and Dragusin in the middle.
