Match Leicester (H) 29-Oct

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Is this thread going to be another where everyone spends the build up being very confident we'll win and then saying shite like "ooooh, I knew they'd be tough, so that's a great point and another clean sheet" when it doesn't happen?

No. Because we're at home and Leicester have lost all their away games - 3 by large margins - the expectation is greater. Drawing or losing to them would be terrible. That's my take on it anyway, and I will melt with the best of them if that happens.

Maybe the reason Dier started on Tuesday means Toby will be back? Someone made that point earlier.
If Poch was certain Toby would be back for this he wouldn't have bothered taking Dier off after an hour for Wanyama imo, which is a like-for-like sub serving no tactical purpose. He would just have let Dier continue to play and by doing that have Wanyama fully rested for Leicester I imagine. Not to say Dier was playing that well, but there were far worse performers in our team more worthy of a sub. The reason Dier started had more to do with the fact we needed someone with physical strenght in midfield imo, otherwise Liverpool would overrun us even more than they already did. A Carroll-Winks CM partnership might work against Gillingham, but no way can you do that at Anfield, it is suicidal.

Fair points. I was only speculating.

I think Alderweireld will be back. If not, almost certainly Dier/Vertonghen at centre half.

I don't think he'll play CCV in the league this season unless injuries

It might be a load of mind game cobblers, but Ranieri has said the priority for them is the CL game on the Tuesday. They've been terrible before all their CL games so far. I can't see this being any different.

3-0

If you say a draw would be good before the match, you're a melt.
If you say it after the draw, you're a true supporter (even if before the match you said "no reason we can't smash em 4-0 because we are great & there crap").

Away to an in form Bournemouth and WBA were never going to be easy games. This is different.

What do you think Scotty?

We are at the stage of being capable, of a performance, at a high level, that should win games as this at home-no excuses. Its not about if it happens, its about making it happen. If it really matters to the players and they believe, they will succeed . If Alderweireld is fit brilliant but we do have the players to come in and cope. Im pleased that Dier is getting game time as we need him to get back on track. Could Kane make the bench?

Away in the premiership to any team can be tough. But then why always dismiss these teams & say 4-0 win beforehand if you think that. Not aimed at you by the way.

Personally, I think we will rarely lose but also draw too many. Need a bit more in attack like most people on here think.
Unless it all clicks when kane comes back.
