Match Liverpool (A) EFL Carabao Cup Second Leg. 6/2 8PM (SKY & ITV) *We're up 1-0*.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Agree, except I feel that Gray has earned the right to play in this one...our most important match so far this season. After being outstanding out of position, in three different positions this season. If Bentancur and Biss had been brilliant lately, then yeah sure, go with the experienced guys. They've far from it though, so I'd give Gray the nod and keep one of the two in reserve to close it out (if we, knock on wood, get there).

He deserves it, I agree. But I think it's more likely we'll see him come in as a sub where needed, with Sarr providing running power off the bench in the midfield. Gray is not ready to start in midfield in a game like this, and Davies is solid at LCB, with decent positioning and experience to help Spence deal with Salah.

I can't see Gray at LCB with Spence at LB for this one, unless Danso slots in at LCB and Gray on the right, with Davies benched.

Fair point, although I would counter that not many if any would have thought, he was ready to start at CB (with Dragusin as his partner no less) in a string of games with the team struggling, and he hasn't (been the one to) let us down.

KEY STATS GOING INTO THE GAME

  • Tottenham has dropped the most points from winning positions in Premier League history, with 451 points lost. They are known for their ability to throw away leads.
  • Despite their reputation, Tottenham has also won the most points from losing positions, with 427 points gained. They are as good at comebacks as they are at giving away leads.

So clearly, we need to let 2 goals in pretty early in the game, so we can get on with our comeback!

Sticking a ton on us for this one. Everything is stacked against us. It's Anfield. Just five wins there in over a century. I've got dingbat scouser mates lolling at me on whatsapp. The media love them and fucking hate us.

Chances are slim but I really want us to go and fuck their heads up. I don't care how. Maybe we stick 11 in goal and bounce relentlessly up and down like we're in a House of Pain video. Maybe we wind them up and try and red them. I don't know. Win filthy if we have to. Be cunts. I want to hear that scouse siren whine of injustice and fury right before the blood pressure spike blows their fender-dented heads off.

That’s still -24 points.

All previous managers between 1992 and now out!*

* actually… that is less than 1 point a season…

As Clint Eastwood said: “deserves got nothing to do with it “ but I would have thought gray deserves to be starting ahead of Danso on this one.
Or worst case bench porro and play gray rb.

Its been a long time since I’ve been that nervous before a match. I just hope we wont start the match half a sleep and then have to chase the game after a few mistakes

Best thing is we dont have to win at anfield
Its the hope that kills you
But it also keeps you going...
