Match Liverpool Vs Tottenham, Sun 27th April 4:30pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We had an interesting day at Anfield…….in the morning we drove to Bramley Dock to have a peak at the new Everton stadium- it is very impressive. we look forward to our visit next season.
Arrived at Anfield around 1pm and, predictably,it was absolutely bouncing around the stadium. Good to see but the novelty wore thin after about five minutes. Tried to go to the away pub (The Arkles ) but the cheeky fuckers were charging £5 to get in….so binned that off and went and bought some beers from a local off licence.Went in the away end when it opened at 2.30pm and met up with some mates.Plenty of familiar faces in attendance but also a very fair smattering of Liverpool fans trying hard to be as discreet as possible.I hate the ticket points hoarders and touts that facilitate this kind of thing. And the game…. brief period of wild celebration when Dom scored and it seemed like we might piss on their parade followed by an all too familiar capitulation. Can’t tell you what happened in the last thirty minutes because we left when the fourth goal went in. Congratulations to Liverpool, worthy champions.
COYS!!!!

Sorry going off topic here but I was thinking about when we last won at Anfield and it occurred to me that I was there at all of the last 3 victories (unless ive missed any):

1995 in the fa cup
1998 in the league cup
2011 in the PL

Not bad considering I've probably not been to more than 30 spurs games in my life! The following quote that I found on the match report on the spurs oddessy website in relation to a howler from baardsen for their goal in the 1998 game made me laugh;

As for critics of Espen Baardsen, let me remind them that Pat Jennings was equally criticised when he first became first choice 'keeper. I'm confident that Espen can be as good as Pat : a goalkeeper does not mature until his late 20s.

Leicesters only win in fucking ages was against us we love setting the wrong records this year
There is no shame or disgrace on Ange’s part at these results. He just seems to shrug it off. In post match interviews he just kind of is ambliviant to it all. He don’t care and never has it’s all about him. That he’s from
Oz and can show he knows more about football than the rest of the world. Just a big ego trip!

If we beat bodo none of them will want to miss the final so zero application.

If we lose none of them will be arsed and already thinking of their holidays as well as knowing the coach has already been sacked.

Really should just start using a ton of academy players for these league games. Gives the fans something cheer for and talk about other than the usual
Don’t play the ones who arnt gonna be here next season.

Letting the team finish 17th because you kept the manager because he might win the Europa league is not acceptable. No other club in the league would permit such a thing other than maybe ispwich
We were a few rounds away as well when he could have binned him. It’s not like we are already in the final. May as well not sack any manger until they are out of all the cups. By then your league form would probably be too late to salvage.

Still wish the club would do more about the points hoarders. Someone on another forum was boasting that they got a grand for a pair.

Espen Baardsen is a name that only comes up rarely.

I don’t think his heart was in football as he went and got a degree and then (I think) went into Finance.

What was so striking yesterday was there were no combinations on the pitch , the left side didn’t attack together, the right side didn’t , there was never an option for the midfielders , everyone was so far apart from each other , our only tactic was a hoof to Solanke . Whilst Ange has to go , I want to see Mason gone aswell , he’s overseen a lot of this crap aswell . Complete refresh required .

Sometimes I feel like the Premier League is a league of good teams, but not enough players you would pay to see. Liverpool has Mo Salah, Man City has Haarland, and then you've got Isak and Bruno, Saka, Palmer and some I'm probably forgetting. Son used to be in that category, but now you don't know if he's in decline or just in the wrong system. I wish there were more exciting players. Harry Kane was a big loss to the Premier League.
You really like your forward players don't cha?

Well done going, you’re a better fan than me sitting through that. I’d love to go to some away games when we start playing better but like you intimate the ticketing situation is a joke.

I'm not sure I can remember one instance where he goes into tactical detail post-game. Proper, specific and objective reflection on why decisions were made, preparation for specific opponents, etc. Neither have the journalists had the gumption or balls to face up to him and ask the important and difficult questions, perhaps as not to expose his tactical naïveté and fragile ego.

And yet I see all this talk of him being a great communicator. The "Aussie charm" (which I am very familiar with) only went so far before the mask fell off.

Even subs said we had a young midfield so knew it would be tough. Then wdf did you pick that midfield. He basically admitted it would be difficult cos of the players he picked.
