Right.. So Liverpool will win the league against us no matter what team we put out but we don't want to get absolutely hammered before the Europa League semi. We haven't played for 6 days so no player really needs a rest but I think I'd like to see VDV rested so he's fresh for Thursday. Ideally we play a bit deeper at Anfield, sit in and conserve some energy so in that scenario we don't need VDV's pace to bail us out on transitions.

Vicario
Spence Romero Danso Udogie
Bentancur Gray
Kulusevski Bergval Tel
Solanke

I think 2 CDMs with Bergval getting a free roll in the 10 would work here. I'd love to see Gray get a start in midfield.

Keep Porro, VDV and Maddison fresh for midweek. Ideally sub Richarlison, Odobert, Johnson and Sarr on for Solanke, Kulusevski, Tel and Bentancur so they are fresh for midweek. Depending on game state could also bring Davies on for Udogie if content or Maddison on for Bergval/Gray if chasing.

That team should be good enough to give them a game while keeping key players fresh. Thats how I'd do it. I wouldn't play with 2 attacking 8s. I think Gray sitting with Bentancur is a great option here. Kulusevski and Danso need minutes too to get up to speed so no brainer starting both of them here.
