Big match revisited had us on the other day at Anfield, first time we had won there since the Romans fucked off our island. What a team we had at that time.

That's the thing... We could come away with a 'creditable' draw and they'd still win the title...
It's done whatever, nothing to do with us this season (as it wasn't REALLY to do with us LAST season... it just FELT like we had more say in the proceedings!)

I'd play the team that best benefits next Thursday...
If that's to give minutes to players who need it, or rest those who need that, then so be it.

Liverpool and Woolwich are NONE of our concern now.

It's funny how initial opinions can change...

When I saw the first post I clutched my pearls and muttered "Outrageous!" to myself.

Then seeing the replies and thinking a bit I find myself in full agreement with their posts and yours.

I've been of the opinion that we should have played to win against City last season.
I would say that every time. Our clubs progression is more important than petty rivalry and avoiding "bantah" from your "mates"
I removed myself from "bantah" years ago. I find not giving it the bigguns to people for 20 years has meant they leave me well alone.
But Sunday is irrelevant, heck, a win could be worse as no doubt Ange takes ALL the plaudits for it.
 
For this year's annual away-day battering, I'll be watching my son play in a County Cup final, kicking off in the afternoon, and not pulling my hair out in front of the TV.

So now I'm fully expecting a 4-0 win to Spurs.
