I doubt if getting a loan fee of say £1m v say £500k moves the dial at Spurs where turnover is £500m+

Just as likely player agent thought playing for a top club possibly getting promotion to PL was better than a midtable team (Pleat made a similar argument about a different young player changing loan club a couple of years ago)
