He's still a teenager to the surprise of commentators on Stoke games (age 19) , but called 'a top player although l some development required, not unexpected with age, but the future is very very bright ('might be hyperbole but a future England captain') delight and astonishment he's not been recalled given our CB| injury crisis etc.

Notts County finished with a 3-0 win over Accrington to move into 5th position very much in play off positions, and only 1 point below 3rd place which gives an automatic promotion place - its only last season that they were promoted from National League.
Today marks George Abbott's 20th league game for Notts playing 1,669 mins scoring 3 goals and getting 2 assists (5 goal involvements) playing mostly as a DM - excellent stats
Also 2 FA Cup games playing 180 mins with a goal and assist - so in total 1,849 mins played and 7 goal involvements in just half a season.
An excellent first loan for him, he seems to have taken to playing mens football like a duck to water.

From the highlights it looks like he had a tough start to his life in Aberdeen. They were losing 1-0 when he came on but he air kicked a clearance from a corner which resulted in another cross coming in which Rangers scored their 2nd from. The 3rd was a disaster for him as he let the ball bounce over his head on the halfway line, then slipped over as he tried to recover, giving the striker a pretty clear run through on goal. Still, it’s his first game and it was in front of a large hostile crowd. A steep learning curve for the lad, but hopefully it’s the making of him.

Low level sure but looks really promising. Hopefully next year he can have a go at a higher level

Excellent news for Notts County - Abbott might be the difference for them between promotion fromL2 to L1 which would certainly look good on his cv.
He's having a fantastic loan, but given Spurs injuries this season I wonder if keeping Abbott and one or two other youngsters such as Devine might have been a good plan by Spurs in the short term. But the longer term experience of a couple of good loans might make him a very good player. Very under-rated player in Spurs u21's who he led to winning PL2 last season due to the number of very highly rated players in that side such as Lankshear, Donley, Dorrington, et al.
