That midfield/attack is stacked. Bergvall, Nanasi, Cajuste, Gyokeres, Isak, Kulu, Elanga is really solid.

There's drought in regards to up and coming defenders.
Hjalmar Ekdal is our biggest prospect in that regard in regards to quality. but like his big brother Albin he is made of glass.
Isak Hien also a defender, playing for Atalanta.
Edit: but I agree, we have too few young coming defenders.

I hope we can afford him a proper start at some point, and not always be putting him in situations where we are a goal down and trying desperately to score. Feel like its a bad setup for learning Prem ball if those are your only playing opportunities.
I loved seeing him demanding the ball for FKs and directing other senior players around the pitch when he came on. Hes definitely future captain material.

If we're always a goal down in the 60-80 minute, then we have bigger issues than Bergvall and his playing time.
We were 4-0 up v Everton when he came on. That was a pretty perfect scenario you'd think.
It was 1-1 when he came on v Lester.
He'll get his first start in the first Europa match which is also a perfect scenario.
I watched the game. He gave the ball away again last night with his team very nearly conceding. That's twice at Tottenham and once for Sweden. He's only played an hour total lol! Come on lad!

For me IF he wants to be the midfield general we'd all love to have... He has to use/ improve his left foot... Like mainoo it's relatively easy to restrict his play.
Looks like a talent but def not ready to start in the PL. Still think we fucked up massively not upgrading the central midfield.
