Player Lucas Bergvall

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's had a good season since being thrown in the deep end at Gala, but last night he was very poor at times, esp the first half where he was caught in possession, poor passing and decisions. Maybe trying too hard against fellow Swedes.

I imagine blip nothjing more

His fellow Swedes don't like the lad.

Elfsborg fans we spoke to before the game were dismissive and then their entire block jeered his every mistake. Funny how some players just rub some supporters up the wrong way.

Hopefully they change their tune when he leads them to Nations Cup glory :D

Now that he's getting comfortable, Bergvall is starting to show his character a bit more and he's clearly a massive competitor and a bit of a shithouser as well. Elfsborg had probably seen it before more than once.

im having him as our chief playmaker now. kulu needs some serious work put into him as he does have the ability and talent, but this kid is more of a natural footballer all around.

i like maddison too and he will have his uses but bergvall trumps him too. better dribbler, probably just as good technically already despite being a teenager, better athlete, just as street smart, more aggression....this kids special.

Tend to agree.
Played well when he came on last night.
Composed on the ball. Could be our Rodri.
hes more likely to be our KDB than rodri.

we will ruin him eventually though unless big changes are made at this club, just like we are ruining gray. these boys should be playing in midfield in a competent system around good players to help them evolve. under a proper manager who understands football! not some B tech caveman who tries to give life lessons to people that never asked....cunt.

I know most on here disagree but I think he’d be a cracking sitting midfielder but he has so much to offer going forward. At 18 we are only seeing glimpses of how good this kid will be. He’s shown he can do the dirty side of the game too and you don’t see that whole package with 18 year olds.

i think hes got too much in his legs to be sitting now, hell end up sitting maybe. but right now you want him getting about the pitch as much as he can.

i cant remember the last time seeing a kid thats this good technically, be able to dribble as well as him, while also having that nastiness in him and willingness to get into collisions??? normally kids that are that good technically do not want to get stuck in, and they usually are less mobile.

hes already got that street smartness in him too, hes showing this squad up in not only football terms but game intelligence.

I agree with you - and I think he can play both sitting and advanced.
It is too early to tell - it would be great to have a slightly deeper lying midfielder who scores and assists and is very good on the ball. But also with a license to go forward
Neither Sarr or Bissouma can pass and play - so as with last night you are always going to be in trouble, because you can't keep the ball enough - or pernitrate their defense

Sarr , Maddison and Bergvall would be our best three atm.

i think gray the more likely to be the deeper out of the two. think bergvall offers more of a goal threat.

Exactly like how popular players like Gerrard and Rooney were with opposition fans

All I need to know.
