Player Lucas Bergvall

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Im not sold on every aspect of his game but he’s a strong powerful unit that doesn’t stop

Was decent tonight and deserved the fluke
I think tracking back is a bit of a weakness right now.

It wasn’t solely his fault but he was absolutely nowhere near Buchanan for that big miss and a veteran all around midfielder would have been better positioned.

He’s superb though. Can tackle, wins duels, can make every type of pass and can take a man on in midfield. There aren’t many aspects of his game he’s missing.

Very revealing quote from Bergvall after the game today:
Of course I always want the ball but when I play as a 10, as I do now, we need those runs forward. Last year I played as a six and an eight but this year I am in the 10 and need to do those runs.”

-He played as a 6 last season- his words 👀
-Hes playing as a 10 now- his words 👀

There was a lot of debate as to whether he had played the 6 last season, and apparently if he can or ever could- he believes he did. There is a lot of debate as to whether or not he is a 10 or can play the 10- in his words he is and just did today.

Is Frank playing with two 10s in his head (w/Sarr), or is he playing with a lopsided 10? Interesting stuff from Bergvall for sure...

He said, 6 and 8, and it was mostly as an 8.

he really does feel like he could be special. hes so raw, but part of that rawness is what makes him good.

gray is almost too refined at too young of an age and its held him back in some ways.

mad that hes still a teenager, the skys the limit for this kid.

He tries things that are incredibly audacious. You have to do that to improve and master difficult skills- some players never develop the confidence to try enough to be able to develop those skills. It's scary to think how good he can become.

yea hes a very exciting player, to be fair he and sarr is an exciting midfield prospect, they are good enough now to not be weak links at this sort of level which is impressive at such a young age, how good our midfield can be in a couple years...
