Would be less surprised if he just moved into coaching. He'll be 33 at the end of the season, and although he's had his fair share of game time here (near/over 40 games per season on average I think), he doesn't ever seem to have been too bothered about being a starter in his 20s and seems to be a clever guy. Can imagine him going down the Scott Parker route

Much as I love Carmarthenshire and I'm sure Davies does, I wonder if Davies will look for a continental or American move rather than battling in the Championship.
Ben's already had his continental adventure. But since Ben is Ben he had it as a child when he spent 3 years playing in the Viborg FF youth setup in Denmark.
Ben is a bit of a hard one to pin down. I could see him following Son to LA (Son is apparently being consulted on former teammates to bring in). I could also see him just going into coaching since he already has his badges. And I could also see him just leave football all together to focus on something else.

Feel like we tend to do well on that first contract renegotiation, the ‘you’ve proved you’re a starter, here’s more money’ contract tends to come quickly during their first good season. It’s the ‘I’m a star now, fuck you, pay me’ contract that sometimes has a bit of trouble.
I’m not all out on Drag yet. I want to see him in a system that looks to protect its defence rather than risk it. Dorrington and Phillips, I’m not even considering at this point. (Even if in FM24 Vusko, Phillips and Dorrers were my 3 best CBs for about a decade plus)
