Agree, I don't like 'rookie'.

I'm relaxed about 'soccer', however, as the word arose as a necessary colloquialism in the late 19th century and later to distinguish association football from rugby football or 'rugger'. I don't think its recent use by Americans should worry us.

T’was a joke. Or Jab at BC and a few who seemed dismissive (or tepid) of him due to a weaker facet (Vuskovic acknowledged himself also last season).

Haven’t watched this season, some last, he’s fine, Romero level probably for pace. Being not the fastest but having every other attribute was a huge compliment, I thought.

I'd be tempted to find him a Prem loan next season - one of the promoted teams would likely play him week in week out and that'd help him adjust to the Prem.

Fair point, but my thinking is if the boy is as good as is being reported would Frank not keep him at The Lane after his initial loan spell and guarantee him 25 league and cup games in a potential 60 game season?

What.Id say about this comment is its in keeping with they way he spoke about himself Verses Mikey and Cutie. IE he showed a level of self awareness beyond Ange and many others He basically said im not quickest and need to improve to be EPL ready. Its incredibly mature. It makes think he will make it because if he learns to read the game being moderate pace will be enough.
