Need to sell Romero, which will leave a spot for him and hopefully free up a better use for funds/wages
Can't have him wanting to leave because he's either out on loan or getting splinters whilst we're suffering with mid table CBs pretending they are elite
I think the club will do something. We basically have a Yamal, Pedri, cubasi level young player who is with us and not Real or Barca. Just becuase of his age it shouldn’t stop him taking VDV or Romero’s place in the side. If he is better than them he should start.
Posted earlier that his family have said that they want him to stay in Hamburg until the end of next season so he can play with his dope-taking brother.
If Romero is still here then he won’t be first choice RCB and arguably behind others. Interesting days ahead at CB with Dragusin and Davies both potentially gone and the kid on loan at Gladbach.
I know what you mean, but given that this season just seems to go from bad to worse, I'd almost be hoping he doesn't come right now, but instead comes in the summer when hopefully we will have a new manager and a bit of hope for the season ahead. Coming now could just destroy his confidence / attitude / love for the game as it seems to have for much of our squad in the last few months...
He’s flying out there but get him back and get him 5 months of premier league experience so he’s ready to be a starter next season. If Romero is away this guy will come in and play. I watch most Hamburg games now and he’s an animal. He bullies centre forwards,is a magnet to the ball in both boxes,but it’s his composure and passing on the ball that’s so impressive. We need to forget his age and just get him back. I don't think anyone is buying Romero this window. But it stands a good chance of happening in the summer- especially after the WC where of course he will feature heavily with Argentina...
I have no issue with his age, I just don't want to take the risk of him getting disillusioned or otherwise 'spoilt' by what is very clearly an incredibly toxic environment right now, with very little upside. I can see the advantages of doing so for the future - basically as you say 4 months of PL experience - but personally I'm not sure it's worth that for the risk of him joining the absolute shit show that is our club right now (and I don't mean 'in recent years' or even 'in recent months' - I mean right now, this month, when we really do seem to be more toxic than we've been for a very long time - perhaps since the Conte 'arson').
It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they did, since his dad wants him to stay for another year.

Aside from the goal for our centre back, my eye was struck by '8 Passes into Final 3rd' - how many does this Spurs team usually get ?
I suspect Spurs do not average 8 passes into final third or the whole team. Or if we do there is no Spurs player currently getting that number in a match. It would be like having an extra AM to have a CB generating that stat
