People who think he’s ever touching the pitch for us again are significantly deluded.
If we go down, he's gone. If we stay up, get rid of our current pair of turd centre halves and bring in Poch, I see him staying alongside Souza, Gray, Beth all, Simons. Then the club need the right blend and we could actually be on a good path for once

This thread is wo weird, people are actually thinking that some 20 year old who's hasn't even played for us yet gets to dictate his future as if he's some billy big bollocks :D

IF we get relegated his manager would be seeking a move. I would. Would be presented as us making windfall for basically doing not much other than getting him to sign for us, and him furthering his career more than he would get here. Win-win.

BUT

we're not getting relegated so nothing to worry about...I think

This is the way I think the summer should go down if we're relegated:

Go - Kudus, Simons, VDV, Romero, Vicario, Gallagher, Porro, Kinsky, Solanke, Bissouma

Stay - Bergvall, Gray, Maddison, Kulusevski, Vuskovic, Davies, Danso, Dragusin, Phillips, Taki, Sarr, Bentancur, Udogie, Spence, Richarlison, Tel, Odobert, Moore, Scarlett and all the kids from the academy on the fringe of the first team

Ben Davies to be named club captain and the transfer priority should be a new 1st choice keeper and a new back-up. Kinsky clearly isn't ready for our first team and he should either be sold or sent on loan to get first team experience.

Vuskovic should be in good company here with the experience of Ben Davies. He will also learn from Danso, Dragusin and the other young CBs we will have in the squad.

Some of the players I've said to stay might not like it but they're going to have to get used to it. And if they're quality players with the right mindset they won't see the Championship as beneath them.

Vuskovic will learn fuck all from Danso and Dragusin

Vuskovic will learn fuck all from Danso and Dragusin

He’s better than those two, how will he learn from them?

If nothing else, he will learn that he's our player and that he doesn't get to leave until he's paid his dues. Relegation does not give him the right to disrespect the club. If he puts in a season or two of good performances for our first team, he will have earned the right to move on if he wishes to do so.

It's high time we set some boundaries with regards to players leaving. Every time we cave in to a player who says he "wants to move to a bigger club" we send the message that we lack ambition and that message spreads to other players in the squad and that's one of the things that has got us into the mess we're in now.

The established high-paid first teamers we have now are a lost cause but players like Vuskovic, Gray and Bergvall are the ones we can realistically hold on to. They may not like it but they'll have to get used to it.

I love how people on here think we can force this guy to play in the Championship. His stock is high and after the World Cup it'll be even higher. If Croatia can get to the last 8 he will almost certainly make the team of the tournament. If we hold firm and refuse to sell him he will down tools and refuse to play. So we fine him a few weeks wages. Not going to make a blind bit of difference. Top teams can keep disgruntled players but we cant because:
1. We are skint
2. We are shit
3. We need players who want to play for us
