Player Luka Vuskovic

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If Vuskovic gets his wish of one more year on loan to play with his brother and Romero gets sold, Stones and Danso as our 2 RCBs would be very solid.

Then hopefully we get Europe for the season after and you keep Stones as a mentor and extra pair of hands with Vuskovic
If we do loan Vuskovic that could be a nice balance for a couple seasons.

I'm still not massively sold on the Stones idea, though, tbh. I'd be far more keen if it was a fitness monster but he's injury prone AF. That part really puts me off, especially when he's gonna want mega wages and probably a 3 year contract.

He's had 7 issues in the past 2 seasons and missed an absolute ton of games. Fuck that: John Stones - Injury history

That is definitely a problem

Thing is, one game a week next season and probably Danso starting most of them…should be less stress on his body. Maybe he could do a Naybet?

Stones will be injured for half the season and we will be in the same bullshit situation we always are. Rinse and repeat.

Let's just keep Vuskovic.

His contact (signed 2023) with Spurs runs until 2030, so with an arm round the shoulder from De Zerbi, assurance of game time and being involved in a team playing attractive football, means he was always going to be amenable to where Spurs want him to play, and I really can't see Spurs wanting to loan him out again - he's shown he's a top class young CB at Hamburg so he's learnt all he needs to there to prepare him for PL

He’s done well to get to 104 pages so far ; imagine what he’ll achieve once he actually plays for us .

When I think of the great CB’s my top 3 are Maurice Norman, Mike England & Lesley King. This player has the potential to be up there with them and we cannot risk him going on loan and being poached by a bigger club like Real Madrid. He needs to be at Spurs and getting indoctrinated into our culture. He may make a few mistakes but his size will be a boon at corners both in our box and the oppositions. I expect 6 goals if he plays enough matches. Unless we are challenging for honours it will be difficult to get him to sign an extension to his contract and we need to take advantage in the few years we may have him.

Luka is ready. Was ready last season IMO. What kind of schmuck would have sent him on loan? Oh, wait...
Tbf that loan was absolutely brilliant for his development and made a lot of sense at the time.

The only reason to question it because with hindsight we know we were in a relegation battle, but I don't think anyone was thinking that was remotely likely at the start of the season. I'd bet almost everyone on here predicted we'd finish top half.

If he'd stayed he would've spent like 2/3rds of the season benched for Romero anyway whereas he played practically every available minute at Hamburg. He actually wanted to go on loan for that very reason iirc.

This is good....
VERY good!

If Romero is off it makes no sense not to bring him back now. You can’t have one of the best young CB’s in world football wanted by all the elite teams on loan forever and it’s not like we don’t have Danso as good competition for his role either.

I really think he needs to stay with us next season and share minutes with danso. We are going run a real risk of him actually outgrowing the club whilst being out on loan otherwise.

Even if he doesnt start every game we can pretty much always bring him on when we are chasing a goal because he is a serious goal threat. We could even swith to a back 3 late on with vuskovic/sensini/vdv.

It was his choice to go on loan because he wanted to play and didn't think he was ready to displace Romero or VDV.
If Cuti now goes, a quartet of Vusko, Danso, Senesi and VDV is pretty tidy, maybe even backed up by Phillips as no.5?

Can't blame the club and anyway, it's been a great loan for his development.

Nothing written by that fucking idiotic yank cunt is worth reading ever.

Easily the worst 'Tottenham' news site on the entire fucking Internet. Joe Soriano needs his fingers and thumbs broken.
