Persic is a problem for him. He seems to have taken the role I had him pegged for.
In the long run it would be better for us if persic leaves and Solomon gets more minutes in his preferred position
I think he'll play a lot on the RW, not ideal for him, but I think we'll need someone who can dribble and cross.

Son always drift to the middle, Solomon should play on the left while Son & Maddison in the middle.
I've a feeling if Richie is ever dropped, Son would play up top anyway, with Solomon/Maddison/Kulu behind...

None are 'natural' strikers, but Son is probably the most clinical of the lot....
...besides, "the false 9" is still a thing, right?

If we DON'T buy an out and out striker by the end of the window, I can easily see Son being utilised there...
At least until Veliz or Scarlett are ready!!!

....but that could be a long wait!

I suspect that like most inverted wingers he prefers the left because it allows him to do his favourite move of beating his man inside and whipping a shot across the keeper - but given that his main weapon is his beating of the man rather than the final ball / shot then perhaps being on the right isn't a bad idea as it would force him to find a pass rather than 'settle' for the shot.

Obviously reduces his goal threat but I'd argue we would rather have most of our other forwards taking shots ahead of him anyway.

Based on that showing, he's quite obviously better on the left than he is on the right.

But that also could have just been because he had better players around him.
