Personally, I think the political baggage that comes with him, will prove to be more of a hinderence, than any footballing asset he can provide.

ANY game he plays for us, he'll get dogs abuse (maybe even from BOTH sides) and it will be repeatedly mentioned in pre- and post-match analysis...

They can't help themselves but to get involved... Just watch the 'media bias' thread explode, the next time he plays for us...

He's one of that bad guys now, remember?!

If he is fit he is a bonus. Opposition fans will be giving him plenty of stick over his Palestine comments so maybe we can cut him some slack. He is bound to stick up for his own country

Match-going fans won't give two fucks about his random Instagram posts from months ago. He doesn't have a big enough profile.

Regardless of his comments (which I wasn’t happy about) he is a player who historically is rarely fit, and takes up a non home grown place in the squad. After being picked up on a free it makes sense to get rid of him to make space for a different attacker. He was only squad depth when we brought him in, it’s not like it’s Pedro Netro in our medical room.

The irony here is that a lot of people seem to be keen that we spend 50, 60, 70m so that Neto can frequent our medical room instead.

I’ll be honest, every time I see Neto I think how much I’d love him at Spurs. Unfortunately it just doesn’t make sense signing such an injury prone player. If we brought in 2 wingers (and a striker) and he was £30m I would jump on board, but £50m + is an absolute no chance.
