I'd say mainly political, with a sprinkling of "because he's not our level" and possibly a dash of antisemitism (giving the benefit of the doubt to the vast majority of those who say it's political). Personally I find it hard to criticize someone who tweeted in anger after his county suffered a sneak attack and 1,200 civilians brutally beaten, raped, murdered, and kidnapped. Now I'm sure I'm going to get buried for saying so...

Tend to agree with the above.
I think it's more/mostly mindless tribalism re non footballing stuff - rather than antisemitism .

Football wise - it's the same thing.
It's ridiculous to say he is not PL level - because he simply has not been tested.
I would rather have a player who has done well outside the PL - than a player who has a mediocre PL career.

Waiting with bated breath for the tweet of “Manor Solomon has impressed Thomas Frank in training and the manager believes he has a key role to play this year” after we strike out on Savinho.

It's not just Gaza with Solomon. He is unfortunately oddly tainted by politics. He arrived because of what looks like some very unpleasant war profiteering by Levy regards Ukraine. Then there was the other conflict. Is he just very unfortunate? But whatever he'd have to be way better than he has been to carry all the crap. I'm sure we will get a buyer....eventually. Because we won't use him now.

There’s dodgy stuff going on which will probably emerge in the next few years. Especially with Chelsea and Woolwich.

Yeah right 🙄

As if the Americans (backed by Trump too, so go ahead, try it lol) at both clubs are going to take a major hit from the FA/PL.

Same thing applies to the powers in the background at City/Newcastle.

Real power with real consequences.

Not this Scrooge Mcduck shit from Levy who is just trying to use the lame " dodgy stuff" argument to try and cover for his thrifty and greedy nature compared to other billionaires.

Where was Levy and his concern for the game when he sneakily tried to do the Super League bullshit?

TBF, theres a fairly reasonable case to be made that the ESL would be a benefit to the competitive balance of the sport at the top level as it would also include real spending controls which would make the game more about which clubs could identify, develop, utilize, and manage talent most effectively - rather than just who can spend the most money.

The only thing you lose with the ESL is promotion/relegation and the increasingly fantastical idea that football is a meritocracy (at the top level it isn't anymore - and given the desire, it isn't further down the ladder either; see Wrexham)

That's just a capitalist case for the super league. On purely historical grounds( yes history matters) I want English football to have zero part in it. I would genuinely rather watch Forest vs Brighton than AC Milan vs Villareal and don't care about the cost implications. What's that saying about knowing the cost of everything and value of nothing.

Oil money says otherwise. Make no mistake they want the PL, and our meek, weak country will not be able
To say no

F them all off and invest in non league football.
