One game left to play for St Pats before their season ends next week. Melia is currently joint top scorer in the League of Ireland on 13 goals (joint with 1 other player).

Can train with us but can’t play or be registered I think. Although we might just let him go off on holiday for two months and then give him another preseason before January.
I don't think that is a good idea.
Think the holiday option will be the best thing for him. The way things are going for us — he’d come to train and be out injured for the next nine months.
Possibly makes sense to give him the month of November off to get a break from football (his season/preseason started in February 2025).
He can then join Spurs (providing his work permit is sorted) and start training at Spurs in December (likely to be a much higher standard of training, and far more intense than he's used to) as a kind of preseason for whether he stays at Spurs or goes out on loan at end January (as Yang did, whose season in South Korea also ended early, but he arrived at Spurs in December 2024, before officially joining on 1 January 2025 and going out on loan at end of January)

Good striker but nowhere near the standard Kane can be as a 'no 10' type with sublime passing, creative stuff ......... very few players are and even more rare are strikers who can play a a 10.

Of course it is. He’s played a full season at such a young age. He needs a break,recharge and come in and train in December and available come January. Likelyhood he’ll be loaned out or maybe given 6 months to be in around the first team to get accustomed to life at a new and massive club.
