"For all their bravado regarding the win at WHL, they are not a better team than us. Just more clinical."

perfect

I thought we did alright really, towards the end of the second half they upped the pressure a lot and we handled it well, King was especially calm and collected. Just wish we'd had VDV available.

Good result. It's another one of.those 'we would have.lost that a few years ago'
Didn't really expect much.more with the players on the pitch. Adebayor has been quite isolated for.a.few games now.
As tidy as Niko was, he is.no vdv or.Modric, he didn't really support any attacks but was disciplined going the.other way which is good to.see. its.just a.little worrying/annoying how much our game changes/slows down when just one of lennon or bale are out.
Another point gained, good to keep them ticking over, and a.clean sheet is always good.

Dirty little bastard

Also looks like Scotty has jumped in front of the King to save him from further injury. Hero :parker:

The point was better than fuck all tonight , but we need to keep the balance and stop letting bale run all over the place , benny hardly had an outball 2nd half, hoilett would of been a great addition in jan for games like tonight . Defensely solid and solid in midfield tho .

How long will Lennon be out? Maybe it's time to give Gio one last chance? He's pacey and might be able to fill in.

Good call, although he wasn't even on the bench tonight. I don't think he does cold, northern away games.

I would have preferred to have kept Pienaar, at least he has a bit of pace about his game. Krankie on the other hand is about as dynamic as a wet fart.

Funny how we had zero ambition yet we carved out the best chance of the entire match. Spurs played that match right. Liverpool were always going to be well up for that match and to hold them to about 2 real chances of their own was a credit to our defence and how well we can actually be organized if we want to be.

Where do you put Gio in the team, don't think he's a better fit for the team than anyone who started tonight. Maybe as an impact sub though.
