Player Mathys Tel

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You're tying yourself up in knots over a few million then. Palace wouldn't have suddenly crumbled without a far more significant hike......

You've no idea whether it was a case of Guehi or Tel anyway.

You've absolutely no idea about that; which is beside the above point anyway.

Point is as long as Tel contributes; his LOAN won't have been a "waste" of money.

That's a rather skewed way of looking at it but; ok...... He's here now and no-one forced him to come.

The fact is United did not want him without an obligation to buy, they thought (and were right) that they didn't want to showcase a player who had no guaranteed future at the club.

Just because you don't believe the actual fact, I can't help you.

Muted.

Agreed. And if he makes a difference, worth it by far. For each additional place up the league we are, we get 3.1m in prize money.
For the europa league:
  1. Knockout Round Playoff: €500,000.
  2. Round of 16: €1.75 million.
  3. Quarterfinals: €2.5 million.
  4. Semifinals: €4.2 million.
  5. Final Win: €13 million.
For the FA cup:
  1. Fifth Round Proper Win: £225,000
  2. Quarterfinal Win: £450,000
  3. Semifinal Win: £1,000,000
  4. Final Win: £2,000,000

None of these totals include additional revenue from broadcasting rights or gate receipts.

He's gonna pay for himself and some.

Incorrect. They turned down a loan (without an option) because they thought the loan fee was too high.

These aren't facts... They're not even rumours... You're just pin-balling from one imaginary claim to the next and aren't even able to stay on point of what you're arguing.

Yeh; bye.

One extra matchday alone probably pays for Tel's loan.

The thing that makes me laugh is that many many people here complain about Levy penny-pinching; yet some are suddenly whinging about largely insignificant loan fee cos it suits their narrative.

Find this believable tbh. Why would the player care about the project at that time. Ange explaining how he would play is obviously what a 19 year old wants to hear.

The summer window in 2023 when Ange had just joined and was getting the recruitment done with Gabbanini was the best window we’ve had so far.

Get rid of Lange, and give Ange (if he wants it) more control with either Fabio or a scout helping him

Big caveat there is Ange being here next season.

I still think Lange is useful and methodical. He was a big part of Bergvall coming but just leave the persuasion pitches to someone else... He a boring geezer, you can just tell. Stay indoors with the spreadsheets Johan.

People were saying that Evan Ferguson would be a 100m player last year iirc, and still a loan with 40m option would be worth a punt (which I agree, I rate him).

We haven't "wasted" a single penny on Tel.... He's a loan and if we don't like him we just give him back.

So we ain't paying him, or Munich anything?

120m for Guehi?

Where did i say offering 120mil for Guehi?

You know this a muddled, illogical mess

Yes, I agree, you have written a right load of guff.
You're arguing with the Geezer who lauded the Werner loan deal as a great piece of business
