So all the noise about this kids talent, needing to play him in his position etc, suggestions that we are looking to take the option up and he doesn’t get on the pitch.

He will be fuming that the due diligence in the signing of Tel as a CF wasn't done properly, and was advised to spend £50m on him. He will be relieved however that he negotiated the deal as a loan with option rather than a straight transfer.

Dismissing Tel so soon is premature.

I was just checking Marco Asensio stats...
You know, a winger that joined in the same window.
To a team playing in the same league.
Into the same position where we needed strenghtening.

He has 8 appearences. 7 goals. Within 383 minutes. So goal for every 54 minutes.
Tel has 1 goal within 6 appearances. Within 410 minutes. So goal for every 410 minutes.

Okay, that might sound like hindsight smartness.
But thinking strategically (something that NONE of our club can be blamed of) - we have MASSIVE LIST OF YOUNG AND UPCOMING ATTACKING TALENT - Odobert, Moore, Veliz, Lankshear, Scarlett, Donley, Yang. So how about ... maybe... you know, balancing things?!?! And to bring in someone at his prime, experienced and that can you know... hit the ground running, play for few years to take pressure off from the youngsters I listed?

But NOOO, we have just one fucking trick. Same as our shitty manager.
Just one plan - if it is hoarding young talent, then EVERY. SINGLE. SIGNING has to be young talent ?!?
Not someone that balances young group of talent but just piling on it.

We are so fucking pathetically ran club really :( .
Random financial analyst can have more long-term strategic view than our management and half fans in forum board has more tactical ability than our joke of a "manager".
 
Finally looked good today. Had a nice shot with his left foot that eventually lead to our only good chance.

Also made a really nice pass to Son across the pitch. Son should've committed more. I think Tel has the ability to connect well with Madders and Son.

We should play something like Son - Tel - Odobert and behind them Madders. Solanke has been poor and was so today again.

He shouldn't play like a striker but as a false 9. Ange doesn't get this.
 
Baby steps, but he showed at least glimpses of proper winger play today. That ball he carried forward before sending it in between Solanke and the goal early in the first half, and that shot on goal that eventually led to the Solanke miss were I think the only occasions where we threatened Fulham.

More of an indictment of the current state of affairs in general than a praise of Tel in particular, but what can you do?
