....if Timo is flying the Plane they'll end up in Norway!
Mixed bag today but did some good things. Showed he can be a footballer which is a lot more than what Johnson does and we paid £50m for him.
Let’s not compound one mistake with another.

Troy Deeney shocked by Mathys Tel’s effort levels against Fulham
That being said, Troy Deeney made a point about Mathys Tel’s effort levels when analysing the game for Match of the Day 2 – the pundit wasn’t impressed.
Tel made the headlines for facing up to Spurs’ travelling fans at the end of the game, something that’s commonplace in the Bundesliga, the league he’s arrived from.
And whilst those efforts to communicate with fans might be applauded by some, Deeney was in no mood to celebrate Tel’s running against Fulham.
Deeney said: “We could have showed you every single player giving the ball away, but we’re just going to highlight these two.
“[Rodrigo] Bentancur and Tel, who the manager just spoke about – wanted to get fit, just look, this is two minutes into the game.
“Look at the difference in running (with the Fulham players), obviously they turn the ball over, it’s a three versus two defensively which is not great.
“But look, look at Tel, look at Bentancur running past him – that can’t happen at any level.”
Then analysing Rodrigo Muniz’s opening goal for Fulham, Deeney continued: “It’s six versus two in the box here (in favour of Spurs) and I’m going to tell you now they have three touches in the box.
“And somehow [Lucas] Bergvall, in my opinion this sums them up, look he’s walking, no sense is going off in his head – emergency danger and they score.”
low bar tho johnson aint it. this tel does not look like hes going to be a top footballer to me...lets be honest, bayern wouldnt let him go if they thought he had anything about him either.Mixed bag today but did some good things. Bergvall's one is a lapse in concentration. Tel's one is a fundamental lack of effort... big difference. This was from someone in the team with a point to prove? Send him back.![]()

We now live in a world where I honestly believe if you gave TROY DEENEY the team till summer we'd improve.....![]()

He's never been a striker, he's an inside forward or at worst a winger and coached in the right system he could be pretty explosive however he's still incredibly raw and needs a season and consistent matches in his best position to get the best out of him.
We shouldn't be spending £60m on him in the Summer either, if Bayern want to negotiate another loan then fine but we're better off sending him back and using that money elsewhere.

I’d negotiate the 60m down to 40m and keep him. Pretty easy to see the talent is there. Isak wouldn’t have looked like a CF at 19. I bet Kolo-Muani didn’t either. IMO Tel is that kind of talent and his mentality suggests he’s going up reach his potential eventually.
Do the club data people want him or does ange want him .
When the later goes will he still be wanted, and will he even want to stay as the new manager might not give him the assurance ange has

Exactly why it makes sense to try and get the next manager in now so they have competitive games to decide who they really want.
If that manager is ready. No point rushing the move if the guy isn’t ready till summer. Last thing we want is to employ a lesser manager because he is available.
Both Deeney and Rooney on MoTD said not a penalty on Bergvall and that the ref and VAR got it right. I’m not necessarily agreeing, just reporting that it was covered.Fair enough Troy. 2 of our young players had bad moments in the game. Both need to be called out internally and more demanded from them.
Did he also say anything about the 2 feet off the ground lunge from Bassey into Tel’s ankles?
Or the obvious penalty on Bergvall, also from Bassey?
Bet you he didn’t? Widescreen headed prick.
