I don't know what you all saw tonight, I guess that's the beauty of Football. We all see different things.

But I thought Tel was good tonight, he was positive, always looking to to drive at defenders, getting some good crosses in. 2nd half looked to me like they doubled up on him when Nuno brought on another defender.

I think he is growing by the game. The boy is 19. Him and Odobert on the other side impressed me tonight. Both very positive.

I think if we don't buy him we might end up regretting it.

No idea whatsoever if he'd even want to stick around, but if he does then I'd like him back again next season (whether that's another loan, buying him, whatever). Convinced he'll look better under new coaching, and he's already starting to show some of his quality in spite of the current circus.

He's enthusiastic and clearly trying his hardest to make an impression. He works hard and was trying to make things happen but the quality just isn't there. We can't spend 50 mil on him based on what he's shown us so far in my opinion. If it was half that amount then fair enough maybe take punt in the hope there is some marked improvement in end product. But 50 million? No thanks.

even if cunha is an extra 20. the value makes far more sense with him. thats an actual player there.

50m for tel is like paying 50m for johnson...in fact, it looks like johnson is even better value as at least he chips in with some G/A....tel trys stuff he cant do LOOOL.

It's not my money. So, I'd rather Levy takes a massive gamble and it pays off and we have a potential world class player on our hands than the alternative which is probably some cheaper alternative.

You are right though it is a gamble based on the patchyness we have seen so far.

So what? Its still a sensible decision.

We aren't in a place where we can afford to spunk 50/60 million on 19 year olds. Especially ones not really producing now. He might actually be unbelievable (he was pretty decent tonight) but there's no way anyone, including people in this thread, know that for sure. He's hardly a nailed on talent like a Yamal where he's already there.

Go spend an extra 15-20 with some actual wages and get an already very good wide player who is an actual adult and not another project .. we already have Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, Udogie, Kinksy and even the likes of Sarr and VDV who are still very much learning.

This guys scored a pen, come up with a nice finish for a consolation in the FA cup and had the ball kicked off him and in .... absolute mugs game to pay the full fee Bayern asked for.

I thought you wanted us to start splashing some cash around and paying top dollar for players?

I get what you are saying about buying ready made, proven products off the shelf. I'd like us to do that as well.

what the fuck have you seen to even think anything like that? if you was talking about odobert id say fair enough, long way to go but you can see the kid has talent. tel??? not a natural footballer at all.

if he had potential to be even a good player then bayern wouldnt be looking to dump him off would they. this is a bayern side thats the weakest its been for 20 years, maybe even longer.

Not on unproven teenagers. I don’t see why this guy is worth 50 million. He’s scored a handful in the Bundesliga and had flashes for us.

We have a limited budget (levy has basically announced this to the world) so if we spend 50 million on this quid we’re not gonna have that much change.

We need a Son replacement. That’s not a teenager.

I love the club signing young players and if there’s one absolute monster of a talent then spend whatever - I’ve seen NOTHING to suggest this guy fits that bill.

We need to spend bigger (and pay the wages to go with it) and go for proven quality. But we all know we won't. Not sure when his bayern contract expires but unless anyone else is prepared to pay 50 million for him I can forsee another loan deal, season long, with the same option on him.
 
even cundy has just said it on talksport, he runs down blind alleys loool. your average mushroom fan sees that and thinks its something to praise loool. "tel is trying"....yea, great! run down blind alleys and lose the ball.
 
Would do another loan. Kid clearly has talent and a new manager + system will highlight that.

Once we narrow our wingers and have the fullbacks overlap, we'll see much better results from our forwards. Would love to see a return to two up front.
