He was never shit. There was clearly a huge natural football intelligence in his movement and actions that just had to be coaxed, moulded, and practiced. He just had to gain the level and confidence to execute consistently on his ideas. I believed he could be great if he could do that -- and he did. I'm not saying I foresaw him becoming an all-time great striker but I definitely rated him higher than almost anyone else.
I know this seems like a crazy claim and easy to fabricate with hindsight but it's true. I'm emphatically not a good scout. I'm mediocre at Fantasy. I just happened to get this one thing right. It's one of the only major player predictions I've ever gotten right and it was a huge one -- so just let me have it!
He should've gotten further in this time to justify 50 m. 50 m is big money still. Don't waste it on another lightweight.
