He wasn’t a world beater before the injury and he’s even slower now.

He’s a bit better with the ball than Emerson and worse athletically. So realistically he’s not much better, if at all, but he’s less terrible to watch.

I think people just expect little from him and he doesn’t get handed starts in nearly every game like Emerson.
 
People crying out for this man over Emerson need a reality check. He's a liability and a nearly man. Never really making an impact either end. Lost all intensity down the right side when Emerson was taken off.

He is every bit as bad. And unlike Emerson he is physically weak. We need so much better than both. And Spence is as good as either having played a fraction of their mins.
 
Not good for Ireland tonight. On his day he can do useful things if the game is flowing the right way for him, but he's extremely limited.

He's as poor as Emerson Royale, he like Royale had a little up tick in form that has made a small bunch think he is better than the Brazilian. He isn't. I actually think Ireland would start Royale over him. We need way better than both but at least Emerson has elite level fitness.
 
It's as plain as the nose on the end of your face that Doc is better than Emerson. His cross led to 3-3.
Summerville had Royal on toast but Doc put him in his pocket.
Baffling that Conte keeps picking Royal. Baffling.

Not really. Doherty's best game for us is better than Emerson is capable of.. but he has so many dud games. Emerson has dud moments in otherwise decent performances. Marseille game is a good example of why Conte seems to think he's our best current option. Covers the flank well and does what's expected of him in 75% of the field.. he's just crap at attacking. (And increasingly making defensive mistakes)... I'd have him over Doherty though.

Have to laugh at your disagree. He rates the worst players we’ve had as world class and doesn’t rate our quality players. So a disagree means you are doing something right.

Mate you will have to forgive me I had the misfortune of interacting with the bore once about eight months ago. Ever since he's one of the few I genuinely totally ignore.

There's three of them, one is a complete hypocrite big fan of Hojbjerg , then there's him X baby, and over the last week a new comer who is nearly as dull as the X baby. Seriously Bonus what they know about football be lost on the back of a stamp.

Doc was very good at Wolves. On paper, it looked a good signing for us, especially for the money it was. But obviously it turned out different. Shame as he does sound like a decent lad and he seems to try his best whenever he's out there. I bet we'll sell him to a Southampton/Palace/Everton and he'll regain some of his best form.

Time to move on now anyway. Give Spence the nod or keep the kid as backup to a new, true quality RWB. Doc and Emerson leave with our thanks & best wishes etc etc

I hand out disagrees very rarely to those whose opinions are just too ridiculous to debate.

What the fuck are you on about?
Royal costs us goal pretty much every game. If not 2.
Literally look at all the goals we've conceded. And see how he did in those moments.

Cannot remind enough- for our very last game, he was totally outplayed for 1st goal, AND he let Leeds player skin him and run almost 1-on-1 with Lloris, which Hugo saved.

If you call goals that he will cost us "dud moments" then fair. But it makes as much sense as calling EPL football game "running around a bit with lads".
