Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

City have a football philosophy embedded. PSG are run by the players, it’s enough for domestic competition not enough for Europe. Someone at the top needs to change them.
No different than Chelsea. Eventually the money aligned with opportunity and they won it (and fucked us).

Money buys you a legitimate stake in the game every year. Eventually you're dealt a flush if you get to play every hand. It's just numbers.

On a semi-related note, playing poker at local casinos, this is 100% how rich athletes gamble. They just play every hand and call basically every bet. Get all excited when they win - as if its a feat to be dealt a winning hand finally, and just shrug their shoulders when they lose.

Everyone now realized the "Poch loves Spurs and is coming back one day" is just a romance fantasy dreamed up by naive supporters?
What? It's not like the decision is all his, right? Perhaps you'd have a point if Levy offered him the job and instead he chose Chelsea. But as is you have no valid point with this criticism. This is like suggesting Christian Eriksen hates Spurs because he went to ManU. We (the board) didn't want him so he had to go somewhere.

We sacked Conte 3 weeks ago. If he hadn't had a tantrum he'd be riding out the rest of his contract and we'd probably have retained more hope of finishing top 4 than we do now.

Is Poch actually your #1 choice?

If not, this all sounds more than a bit sulky.........
We are no different with or without conte because he is still there with his boy Stellini in charge.
Yes Poch is my first choice.

Well.....you're just blatantly wrong.

Going to United and going to Chelsea are vastly different decisions. Come on, you can't pretend not to understand that. Poch isn't an idiot, he understands what that club is. It's irrespective of whether he's choosing them over us, the fact that he's choosing them at all puts paid any idea that Poch had a special connection to Spurs and Spurs supporters.

He's a football manager following the money.

Again - I don't discredit him for it. I'm still more bothered by his quitting on the job at Spurs than anything. But the idea that he had a special place in his heart for us is all fantasy.

Nah, they'll win it soon. They have an endless supply of money. At some point the means will align with opportunity and they'll win, as will City.
City is a much, much better run project and consequently a considerably stronger and more cohesive squad.

The prices are also much much higher now than they were in Chelsea's ascendancy, with FFP a constraint on some level.

Plus there's the French league factor where they aren't battle tested week in week out.

Qatar are sniffing toward England for a reason, but even in England they'd need to operate more intelligently to perform at City's level.

You can luck into a CL, as we proved, but PSG aren't giving themselves the odds their money would warrant.

This is a bad take, poorly argued. I'm not going to go back and forth because you'll not be swayed but the logic flipped around then any manager we supposedly had a special relationship with we should never want rid...and all you turncoats in here would have some 'splainin to do because you did and then most embraced Mou and Conte FFS.

The only test of this is would he come back if offered...and that's not on the table but you've been itching for this particular fight against Poch for sometime. Me? I hope he fucking wins the league with them or anyone else he manages just because some weirdos on this board irrationally hate him after all he did.

I'll always be fond of Poch for what he did here but if he goes to Chelsea, I'll wish nothing but the worst for him.

Once he's sacked and goes back to Spain, I'll cheer for him again.

There have been strong rumours that Poch wanted to return to Spurs, but there has been no meaningful approach from us this time round.

It reminds me of Mourinho being challenged for saying he could never manage Spurs when he was at chavski, and replying that was before they sacked him. Twice.

My own view is that if we'd made a serious move for Poch when Conte pissed off, he may well have accepted the job. Since we appear to be ignoring him, ultimately the man is free to make his own moves.

However, I think the latest Nagelsmann "doesn't want the chav job", and Poch "now chav first choice" stories, are probably leaked primarily by their agents to put pressure on the Boehly consortium to make a decision.

And if offered the Real Madrid, I suspect Poch may well take it over the chav option.

--------------------

The former Chelsea boss [Mourinho] stated during his time with the Blues that he would never manage rivals Spurs as he had “too much respect for the fans”.
But in his first press conference having taken over the reigns at Tottenham, after being asked why he had reneged on the agreement, he revealed it was his former club’s actions that led him to reconsider.
“Yes, that was before I was sacked!” Mourinho said.

Also worth remembering Poch could have joined us when we approached him in Summer 2021, but he chose to see out his gardening leave at PSG instead......... And we then went down the Conte, Ten Hag, Potter, Gatusso, Fonnsecca, Nuno list and eventually cycled back to Conte.

This.

Why has it got to be that you either really love him, or really hate him?

Why can’t sections of our fans respect that we all have different opinions and that some people want/like him, and some people don’t? Whatever your opinion is, it’s valid. There’s pros and cons to having him back

Why does everything about Tottenham right now have to be divisive, and a mud slinging contest amongst the fans?

Your post suggests that managers never feel like fans. So Poch isn't attached to Spurs, Hoddle, Ferguson, Dyche, Wilder. Surely these had real passion for their team

It's all a fantasy made up by supporters who never got over their infatuation with a man that literally said on the eve of the CL final that he was done...then came skulking back after he had a big hand in us blowing it because the big move he expected after we won didn't materializing after we lost.

Qatar are looking for minority ownership in England. They've never been interested in buying a club outright. They want part ownership of a club so they can stock it with their prospects and have right of first refusal on any players that come good. It's their idea of how to get around FFP - use feeder clubs to develop cheap players for you and buy the ones that become class at a cut rate. The loss is then spread across different clubs and within the limits of FFP. PSG will always be their focus.

Before the end of the decade, they'll win the CL.
