Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I Liked Poch, but his interview upon joining that shit stain of a club , made me wanna puke.

It didnt sound like a "project" in that interview, in fact the opposite. Words to the effect of, " this is Chelsea, winning is demanded from the start, most successful Club in England", bla bla bla.

There were sooo many articles like this when they signed him aswell:

Meanwhile we were getting roundly derided and told we would struggle to get in the top half

Boehly looks like a guy who bought the club with Saudi cash, got told he can spend what he likes and is basically playing football manager.

Arse want Mudryk - buy Mudryk.

Scan football manager for young players with potential.

Wank off at managers with a philosophy like Potter but don’t understand you need to support that with time and a proper club structure.

Get in a bidding game with Brighton for an ok player like Caicedo who might be good and instead of paying £30-40m pay £110m instead to win the deal.

Neglect to buy a top quality striker with all the cash.

Beat FFP by giving everyone 8 years deals making them unsellable. Obviously hoping Saudi connections bale him out down the line.

At this point if you're a footballer you're going there for the money and the long contract, no way footballers are going there for the project because there is no project.

I don't like seeing any club mismanaged in this way and to see a manager who served our club so well to be in such a hopeless situation is terrible.

If I were a Chelsea fan, I wouldn't see any other option than to protest for new ownership and I'm someone who has been very resistant to the Levy Out movement. I would say they're not far off Oldham Athletic level crisis in terms of fan discontent.

Couldn't have chosen worse fits in PSG and Chelsea since leaving here. There were other projects available like Real Betis and Villa that would have offered him a chance to step back and build a team with the resources that provide a realistic shot at European football and silverware.

he is -- "all at sea" not at Chelsea
(the one running all the transfers for the past 24 months must be also running a bank or a mint)

Hook it to my veins!!

One thing that's amazing to me is the number of players featured in this video that I've never even heard of before. Chelsea football club paying 100m plus for mid level players and laying out fortunes to unproven players on 8-9 year contracts.

I think it's the opposite. He got a decent payout after he left us (pretty sure he picked up his wages in lockdown but happy to stand corrected) and the two clubs where it's nailed on that you'd get a golden handshake is PSG and the Nazi's.
Great from a payday perspective, sure.

But I think that most of us can admit at this point that Poch's style of management doesn't seem suited to these "win now" type clubs.

He's much better suited for clubs that can be long term projects where he can implement a cultural shift. Like he did with us when he joined.

He'll probably sit out the rest of the season on gardening leave posting pictures of his BBQ, but where does he go from here?
