True, but they were also something like 10 points clear by Christmas. In terms of getting close to the league this season, we had to beat United and Woolwich away and even then we would still have had ground to make up over winter. I don't think we lose these matches due to lack of player ability either.

First thing that came to my mind when this whole discussion came up. He might be a cunt, but he's usually a winning cunt. 'Don't get beat' away from home against your title rivals is usually good enough.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't hope for better, nor be fucked off with the poor performance we saw on the pitch today, but people need to realise that they're getting played by the football pundits over this. They're the talking points when the press wants to have a pop. In the last two seasons, I can only think of this Emirates performance and Anfield as the ones that let the club down. We've lost narrowly to United (twice) and Chelsea in that timeframe, but those were good performances with a one-goal margin of loss.
